Discuss your opinions on Twilight here. I had my opinion typed out and then it closed on me. But because I love Twilight and this guild so much I'll retype it out. Well try to remember what I typed out. Here we go:

My opinion

Twilight is definately my favorite out of the four books. It's full of intense suspense, romance, action, and even some comedy (Gotta love Emmett). Stephenie Meyer amazingly wrote this book, she gave enough detail to create an image in your mind but didn't over detail anything (ex: Lord of the Rings) I think this makes for a good read and definately pulls in her target audience, as well as other audiences. She made each character extremly individual and it's almost as if you know the character. Kind of like if you see someone do something, and you think of a friend who would do the same thing. You see someone do something and you think "Hmm that's something Edward/Bella/Alice would do..."

The first time I read Twilight I could not put it down. Even when I had finished I still had to read it again and again. When I found out that there were two other books to go with Twilight I nearly died from excitement. I love the mystery between Edward and Bella. She's very observant so as you're reading her point of view you can really understand where she's coming from and what she's talking about.

And the quotes SM comes up with! I love, love, love them. They have so much meaning, and a lot of those quotes are ones that are famous, as soon as you see it you know it's from Twilight:

Bella: So what you're saying is, I'm your brand of heroin?
Edward: Yes, you're exactly my brand of heroin.

Edward: And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.
Bella: What a stupid lamb.
Edward: What a sick, masochistic lion.

And so on. Those are just quotes that stick with you. I could go into detail about what I thought about each character but I don't want to bore you. I'll try to make it short for the two characters that I find were extremly important in Twilight (Well they all were important but I don't want to ramble on and on forever lol).

Edward;; Edward's character is the most intriguing in Twilight, he's the main attraction, especially for one, Bella Swan. He's secretive, incredibly intelligent, and Bella constantly refers to him as an angel, and keeps describing how attractive he (and all the Cullen for that matter) is. He's intense, has intense mood swings (like the medow scene where Bella says that she's having trouble keeping up with his mood swings). To a human, Edward is pure perfection, but we can easily see through that as we get to know Edward better. I love every single one of Edward's qualities and flaws.

Bella;; Bella is very plain and simplistic but extremly complex at the same time. She's extremly observant but can be sort of ignorant. What I love about her, is that she realizes consciously, and subconsciously that Edward is dangerous, but she doesn't care, and she's nothing but intrigued by the mystery that is Edward Cullen.

The last thing I want to talk about is the vampire myth. I love how we have a more realistic myth for vampires in Twilight. The unbelieveable speed, the extreme speed/strength, the enhanced eye sight/hearing, everything! I love how it wasn't corny, no garlic, coffins, they can come out during the day, sun doesn't hurt them etc. It was amazing! I definately can't wait for the movie smile
