a little bored before a dive, so i thought id write what im doing down here.
Today i will be doing a Night/Decompression dive at Lake tullock in Copperopolis California. I will be diving with my good friend and IDC instructor Dan Harvey. We are planning to dive to 110 feet for a bottom time of 35 minutes.
My deco software is telling em a bottom time of 35 minutes will result in some decompression, but not a whole lot, so we are taking a 50% bottle with us as well, out back gas is 32%.
Heres the Dive Profile:
Decent:--------------4 minutes----------4 minutes---------32% Bottom 110ft:-------35 minutes---------39 minutes--------32% Ascent:---------------2 minutes----------41 minutes-------32% gas switch:-----------1 minute-----------42 minutes-------50% 50% @ 70ft:---------20 minutes---------62 minutes-------50% Ascent:---------------2 minutes----------64 minutes-------50% Final Stop:-----------5 minutes----------69 minutes--------50%
Ill be using twin 100's for my 32% and a 80 for my 50% bottle.
Im really looking forward to this dive because i get to use my brand new shiny DUI signature drysuit, before i was using a old whites drysuit, so im upgrading biggrin
ill be using a depth and bottom timer cause my VR3 comp is broken and somewhere in the UK getting fixed right now razz and i would be using my rebreather, but Dan isnt certified in RB's so it would be unsafe to dive that with him as my dive buddy.
We'll be diving a vertical wall with a max depth of 300, so if i see the bottom, im probably dead (or dying) XD
anyway, yea, ill update you guys when i get back from the dive.

couple days later after the dive, but better late then never!
anyway, dive went good, love my new drysuit. Saw some cool stuff, but for life, all i saw was crawdads, hundreds of them...
other stuff i found was random junk, a hub cap, couple old scuba masks, a set of fins, lotsa soda cans, some golf balls, a WHOLE pontoon boat (that was kinda cool, like a mini-wreck) and like... 20 pairs of sunglasses.
did get one good find though, found a pair of oakley gascan sunglasses, when i got home, i cleaned them up, and registered the serial number on it, come to find out, the original owner didnt register then glasses, so i did, then sent the sunglasses in saying they were damaged, now im getting a brand new shiny pair of oakley gascans (polarized!) those retail go for about $155, so a good find i must say! biggrin
ended up with four minute of deco, easy enough when i switched to 50% for 20 minutes at 70 feet, so that went away quickly enough. had a good dive i guess ^^
Stats:
Total dive time : 70 minutes Max Depth: 92ft Temp (lowest): 51* F Dive number (comp, logged): 921
on a different note, ive done so many damn dives that i never logged, anyone else have the problem of not logging their dives?

hehe, that's awesome about the sunglasses. And sooo many crawdads.... I did have the problem of not logging my dives, but luckily my dive buddy was my dad, who actually recorded my air pressure and whatnot in his divelog... so I eventually came around and used it to finish logging my dives. It feels good to be up to date! xd 3nodding blaugh
