We don't really think about it, or mention it much... but in many other nations in asia and the middle east, Christian's really suffer for their faith. What all have you guys heard about this persecution, and what do you think we could do to help our brothers and sisters in Christ? http://www.persecution.com/((The website above is a favorite of mine, The Voice of the Martyrs. There are several current real life reports on persecution, as well as full stories and how you can help. It is really amazing what some people go through because of their belief in our Lord...))

Ohh! I have heard of that website! Have you ever read the Jesus Freaks books? They are awesome O: Also, I was going to be able to send, like, people in jail strength letters, but my parents weren't comfortable with that so... eh... I didn't get to~ I suppose the best thing to do is pray for them and their faith in Christ to rise up!

Yep ^^ Or we could go over there ourselves, raise money to bail some of those people out. ((also, does your 'rents realize those people were put in jail for no other reason than being Christian?? Or are you talking about something different than the thing on persecution.com?))

I have heard about that... I think we can pray for them, honestly, and sincerely.

I am not sure the prison system in those countries work the same way here. Sometimes its more than posting bail. I mean, with some countries that are for the most part run by some kind of extremist, they will ignore the bail issue, or they will mentally screw with the people on both sides of the bars.

Well, maybe. Still, prayer, finding sources where we can write them and send them things, becoming missionaries and such are all ways we can help ^^ and showing constant support for them here. As well as finding ways to try to fund the Church in nations where it is dangerious to be a follower of Christ.

mazuac Yup~! I kinda' want to go to Middle Eastern nations and preach the Gospel... But I feel a calling towards Japan and China more~! Well going to the MId East to preach gospel is tantamount to suicide. Many people there may not be extremists but they do not appreciate people coming in to try and preach Christianity to them. Its offensive because it can be seen as others feel they are worshiping the wrong God or something. Then the extremists here and next thing we know, your execution video is plastered online. And back on topic, in places like China, Christianity is sometimes seen as a major cult and it threatens their traditional beliefs on how life should be lived. Or, sometimes people held in these prisons were because the government there say their actions as a threat to national stability. Countries like that depend on stability to keep order.

Thes people are doing something brave for their religion. Here we are comfortably sitting around. It makes me feel sick that these people ccan't get help. I (even though its suicide) would go there and try to bring madical supplies, new bibles, food, etc. THESE PEOPLE NEED HELP!! DO SOMETHING!!!

Shouting at people to do something on an internet forum won't do much.
If you want change, be the change you want to see.
Ok Lotus?

She was just voicing her thoughts, however loudly razz ~
They may not like our religion, but it's brought happiness to so many people~! ^^ I've read stories of missionary's and others who have gone to China and other nations that are against Christianity, and it's really inspiring to see their love and courage for Christ~! ^^ One day in the future, if I'm not already dead or raptured, I want to go to the Middle East and help some churches around the area~ It would be inspiring! ^^

Thank you little_lotus =D "the mouth speaks what the heart is full of" after all. Seriously, that was tight ^^And we are sent to places like that, to spread the gospel and love of Christ, and what sacrifice God made by sending himself (as he might send us) to even die to show His unconditional love. (twords the people who even kill or hate his followers.) "But Jesus didn't entrust his life to them. He knew them inside and out, knew how untrustworthy they were." Quote: Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." John 20:21 Quote: But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. ~Acts 1:8 Quote: Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. ~ 1 John 4:7-11 Yes I use the last one alot, but it is a favorite after all ^^;

Based on history and what not. To them Christianity is a cause of war, causes pain, has many zealots, and caused chaos over the millenia. It can threaten their sense of national stability and to them, looking at the history, Christianity brought more pain than happiness.

Same with Isalm stare from my not-so-good mood point of view... your point may be? It is a religion of LOVE, that God is the fullness of JOY. And that only happened when religion was mixed with government. The point is, just about EVERYTHING has brought more pain than happiness. Not to mention, people usually only bash Christianity.... it was needed for it to spread to this point, stand up speak out strike back or get killed. Not what is Godly, but what "men ment for Evil, God ment for good."

Notice, all the great empires that combined religion with government. What happened to them? They destroyed themselves from the inside out...
