Valo sat calmly in the corner, watching the others in the shop. Occationally he would laugh at the antic's of some of the foxes playing games, but for the most part he was content to simply watch quietly. He didn't recieve his dad's need for constant attention, so not being part of the activities didn't bother him the same way it would have his father.
Laying down, Valo wished he had the nerve to actually go over to the groups and join in, but he got nervous. He was fine when it was one on one but crowds made him uncomfortable and unless he was with someone he knew, he avoided them like the plauge.

Coben padded quietly up to the shop. His paws hurt from the walk, but he simply didn't feel the motivation to fly like normal. He used to fly everywhere, but lately, he hadn't been himself. His wings lay stiff against his back, in need of a good stretch.
He walked in silence, listening to the birds around him, singing high pitched tunes to each other. It saddened him inside, his heart yearning to play his flute and join in the beautiful songs of the birds. His face remained empty and emotionless, but his eyes reflected that sadness inside. He simply couldn't afford to buy a new one after Yani had broken his, and the old, happy, Coben lay in the bent metal which collected dust in it's case at home.
He sighed slightly as he entered the shop, noticing the abundance of happy foxes inside. Normally, he would have padded straight over to join in, but he just didn't want to. Ever since Yani, he'd been afraid of meeting new people. He simply sighed once again, turning to sit in the corner, but didn't notice the fox who had already occupied it until it was too late. He was too close now to simply turn back and find a new spot.
"Uhm. Sorry. I wasn't aware there was anyone over here..."

Valo noticed the yellow fox heading his way and thought someone actually wanted to talk to him, but his thoughts were quickly dashed and his face fell when the other fox spoke. The only reason he was over here was because he hadn't noticed Valo. Although saddened, Valo was also polite and gave the newcomer a slight smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"It's alright, if you would like to sit here, I can find a new spot," Valo said before glancing around the busy shop in the hope he could find a place that wasn't so crowded.

Coben frowned slightly, feeling somewhat bad. "No no. That's alright. You were here first, so I suppose I'll find somewhere else..." He trailed off slightly, his old self yearning for company. After a moment, he reluctantly gave into it. "..Unless of course, you wouldn't mind some company." The words made him feel vulnerable, and slightly uneased, but something deeper inside felt relieved. He was scared of being hurt all over again... But Di had told him he'd find someone who would treat him better one day. Someone to make him happy again. Perhaps he'd find it here.

Valo was curious as to why the fox was frowning but when he offered to find a new spot instead he was dissappointed. He really did want company and had been wishing the fox would have wanted his company and so when the offer to stay there with him, got Valo smiling brightly at the yellow fox, "I would love company, I'm Valo."

Coben hesitated for a moment before he awkwardly lay down next to the fox. He re-folded his wings against his back, and looked to the male. "Valo." He nodded, saying the name out loud to remember it better. "My name is Coben." He smiled back to the fox, but the smile was laced with sadness. "It's... a pleasure to meet you." As much as he hadn't wanted to talk lately, he knew that was no reason to leave his manners behind.

Valo noticed the sadness in Coben's eyes and it made him determined to have it gone. Giving him his most upbeat and reassuring smile, "I'm so glad you decided to stay, I love company but the crowds make me so nervous."
Biting his lip, Valo tried to stop himself from blushing because he admitted his weakness. He hated being so shy around crowds and didn't know where he got it from since both of his dads were out going. "It's silly really, since I am fine when it's just one on one."
