My favorite series would have to be:
Midnighters by Scott Westerfeld
Maximum Ride by James Patterson
Sweep by Cate Tiernan
The Seer by Linda Joy Singleton
The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud
Wicked Lovely and Ink Exchange by Melissa Marr
The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott
Pendragon by DJ MacHale
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
Exodus by Julie Bertagna

Oh I came up with another one...
I don't know what the series is called but the one with the books 'Uglies', 'Pretties' and 'Specials'. I don't remember the authors name either

Twilight series
So far the Xanth series by Piers Anthony
Possibly the Airhead series by Meg Cabot
There might be more.

I actually really liked "The Dragon Chronicles" by Susan Fletcher
It's made up of three books:
"Dragons Milk"
"Flight of the Dragon Kyn"
"Sign of the Dove"
I didn't care too much for the third but I loved]/i] the first two

Elizabeth George's Detective Lynley series
Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot series
Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer series
I love how mine are all mystery novels. It kinda stands out amongst all the other posts...

Hmm...I've never really been one for series -- most of my favorite books end with the main character dying -- but I'd have to say that Tolkien's Lord of the Rings would have to be my favorite.
