I have been about to start one a few times, but it is too hard not to be able to hug and kiss the person.
What do you think about Long Distance relations?

I won't do them. I replied to your post in the mature forum about sexual relations, and I'm going to mention that same relationship again here.
Because everything was great with this guy until I went to college. He was a year younger than me so he had one more year of high school and I went away to start college.
We had a lot of other problems, and I mentioned some things in that other thread as well. But it WAS a lonely, miserable situation being so far apart. I've been in a few different long distance relationships and I came to the conclusion that it's not worth it.
When people ask me to start a relationship with them, and they are far away, I tell them that I would love to, but not like that. I told a good friend of mine that if he could find a way to be NEAR me, I would gladly date him. But not if we were never going to get to be close.

I am in one. Its not all that bad. I do admit that is killer not to be with her. But there are many things you got to get over if you care for somebody.

Haha believe it or not i was with this one girl that was from Scotland XP She lives there. I still love'er to death but when you are 5 hours apart time zone wise....yeah

I am in one. I hate not being able to be there for her, like hold her when she needs it. All I can do it call her or something like that.

I've been in a few.
They can be good, and there are hundreds of examples that have worked out perfectly.
But, mine haven't.
I have a very hard time trusting people, and I usually pick the ones that can't be trusted in the end.

i haven't been in one yet...i almost did...but he came back to the states...if he would had stayed i be ok for a month but after that i don't know..

im in one its hard cause of the time differanc, but we make it work.But i hate it that we cant kiss, but i still love him.

However, I am hoping that in a few weeks I'll be able to say that it was worth it, because I'm finally moving to the same city as my man. I've tried and failed. But this happened when I was
in high school. Things are probably different now.
But I really would rather be with someone I can see often.

They can be good or bad, that isn't really a good way to describe it. They are alot of work, and very difficult. You really have to trust and love each other for it to work. I have been in one for about a year and a half now with one of my pets, and a few failed ones lasted nearly a year. They can work, it's just difficult. It really is worth the wait when you get to spend actual time with your lover.

To me Love know no distance. Sure it is hard not being able to be there for the one you love and it can hurt you badly. But if you do finally meet each other one day... Isn't that worth it rather then becoming stale and forgetting one another?
