Did you like the third book of the series the best? Did you like this group of heroes better than the myriad group in the Dark Elf Trilogy? Who did you like best? Not like? Which town did you enjoy being in? Not in? Did you like the open road better? Did you like being in Icewind Dale better than being in Luskan or other places?

What? They're colour coded? I totally didn't see that. They look the same to me.
I must say that I did like the Halfling's Gem better than the other two Icewind Dale books. Probably because it had Entreri in it, and there was more traveling. And Deudermont was great!
I liked the group in the Dark Elf trilogy better, though. I mean, I just liked the Dark Elf trilogy better in general. Of the Icewind Dale group, aside from Drizzt, I liked Bruenor best.
I think I liked Waterdeep the best of the towns, although Longsaddle was awesome because of the Harpells. And I prefer other places to Icewind Dale.
Great book, in the whole. Sali Dalib was amusing, and the wererats added a new dimension to the situation. What I didn't like was all the hints of a relationship between Drizzt and Alustriel, and the random flirtations between Catti-brie and Wulfgar. It was a little sudden, since although it was pretty obvious that they had feelings for each other, that kiss in the sewers was a bit unexpected since the relationship wasn't developed much otherwise.
It's also kinda odd how they kept getting into seemingly impossible situations but no one died. I mean, I like the thing with the fire and Drizzt's scimitar saving Bruenor, but when Catti-brie launched herself off the bridge in Tarterus, she really shouldn't have survived, even if it was a circular plane. Oh, and Regis' severed fingers were kinda never mentioned again.
