Japan, renamed as Area 11 under Britannian rule, is the source of over 70% of the world's total supply of sakuradite, a fictional superconductive mineral. Japan oppressed and dominated other countries through economic control of the mineral prior to the start of the series, leading to its invasion and eventual takeover by Britannia.

Mr. Black was sitting down in the hallway of a hospital, he was constantly scratching his head, which was covered in bandages. On the outside it looked like a crummy, old and normal, but on the inside it had the most advanced medical equipment one could find in Area 11. One of the nurses of the hospital walked out of the room Mr. Black was sitting by. "She is ready to see you now." the nurse said as she motioned to the room. When he entered the room he saw a young woman sitting in a hospital bed staring out the window. She wasn't showing any emotions as she looked out. Mr. Black then grab a nearby chair and sat down next to the girl. "Hello there. My name is Mr. Black, and I was hired by your father to keep you safe." he said. The girl then turned to him and gave him an expressionless stare. Mr. Black then sighed. "Oh great my client hates me."
