So, what are you guessing what this year's game will be? Or what do you want this year's game to be?

Its not going to be with ball shaped objects. only because it is following the trend. Which is an educated guess. I'm hoping on a game with Square shaped objects.

I always hope for a BattleBots sort of theme, but that never happens...maybe they could do dodgeball one year?

The games are always extremely creative. I remember waiting for the game last year, and when they described it, I remember sitting there, looking over at YMI and saying "That's it? Really? This is going to be the easiest game ever."

Holy crap was I wrong. Overdrive was tough man.

But, I'm hoping for a puzzle game. Have slots in the wall and you have to pick up a corresponding piece and put it through a slot. Except make it like Aim High and Rack and Roll (mostly Rack and Roll). What I mean by that is have the slots for the pieces in different levels, and have the highest level as more points, with the lowest as the least points. You can add pieces to the same slots as well. Also, I like the Spoiler idea in the Rack and Roll game, so a Spoiler Piece sounds good too. At the end they are tallied up, but if a spoiler was used, it takes away the score of the slot it was placed in.

I think it sounds like a good idea, but I doubt they'll do it this year.

I agree...Overdrive was really tough, my team's autonomous mode was all over the place due to our sensors...

By the way my team's number is 1831...

I'm really think a combination of Overdrive and Aim High would be a cool game.

Yeah it was tough both i think i speak for all of us with arms that it was both worth it and cool to look at when parading around the pits. But with the new controller and since we've now used every means of communicating messages to our robot i think they're gonna go for IR again this year and maybe the camera system too. They did away with it last year so i think they might bring it back. hopefully it will make the field more free and like ryu said a puzzle.
well I'll wait till October to think about the games. (Hope to see you guys on cheif delphi, ps. I'm MiniNerd24)

Well, I suppose ramming the bots during competition comes close enough, hehe. They've been cracking down on it more with each coming year, though. =[ Ahh, I remember when they didn't have as many ramming or pinning rules back in 2005. xd

As for this year's game, I've given up trying to figure out what it is. They always blow me away every time it's revealed, and I can never guess anything even remotely close to what they come up with, so I usually just wait until kick off....

Yeah i don't know about all of you but at our kickoff in Wisconsin when they got to the "gently bumping" part of the game, everyone in the room laughed. I wonder if that will be part of the game this year?
