Deep in the Beor Mountains lies the Varden, the resistances. The people that live here fight against the king to bring peace and harmony to people of Farthen-Dur. This place was also one a dragon hatching ground, where young hatchlings were raised when the dragon thrived.

((continued from Hadarack Desert))

With his mind still in a slight fog Sang hear what Mai said but it did not process 100 percent properly. still though he greeted her as was starting to become his normal, with a gentle kiss as he slipped past her. witch probably pissed her off a little bit but Sang was a bit to out of it to make much sense of his actions and their effects. after getting their bags packed and strapped down to their perspective dragons the two cought up with the rest of the caravan as they winded through the mountain hill and then peaks. the air having gone up in the violence of the winds compared to the gentle and sweet breezes of the woods, to something almost hostile within only a few cresting hills. the fact that the air had gotten considerably thinker to their lungs did not help ether as the speed that the group moved along did slow but they still moved for most of the daylight hours leaving only enough time to set up a shelter from the winds and in the morning they were packed before the sun rose.

The elf looked back at the male rider and his dragon. Being elf he did feel sympathy to dragon and...yes...to its rider. He called for them to set up camp a few hours later. When they did he approach Sang.

"There is a gape in the forest about a mile to the north. Go ahead and have your dragon stretch her wings with a good flight. Mai and Rain will stay here. When you return they can go if they wish," Said the elf.

Looking up into the Elfs eyes like a little child that had just been given his first Christmas present. he nearly hugs the man before stopping his self at a vary repetitive thank you before he took off to find Surete. finding her and rain resting to Sangs surprise under the same canopy of trees he looked around a little bit for Mai to enplane the situation. asking her to stay awake because the two of them might cause a lot of noise. With the same childish smile on his lips he walked up to Suretes head gently patting her just below her eyes to wake her up. simply because it was the only part of her hid that was sensitive enough for her to feel without causing her to freak out.
"Whaaaat?" She asks clearly a bit peeved to be roused from her sleep.
"Come on, we got permission to go and exercise." Sang responds to her as he lightly jingles the brass in Surete's harness. causing her eyes to open bright as her jaw shifted into a soft smile
"I hope you can hold on their Boy'o my wings have been itching for quite some time." she whispers to him with a sly tone in her voice witch only made him smile even brighter.
"I would hope for nothing less from you my dear." Walking Surete away from Rain a little bit Sang gets her strapped up and ready to go before walking her to the stop where the Elf had tolled them about. "I just hope theirs no funny business" Sang Warns himself before they disappear into the wood line far from the fires of the caravan

getting to the spot Sang paused for a moment forgetting that Surete was right behind him all to happy to get the chance to fly that she was not paying much attention to him. bumping the crown of her head into his back he stumbled forwards a few feet.
"The Elf was not kidding." he comments openly into the air as a span with more than enough ground to house fifty dragons Surete's size stood in front of them. mostly grass and a small stream that looked like it was still trying to make its mark on the land their. his heart started to race just as fast as Surete's as he strapped himself into her saddle.
" Ok lets start off a little slow and work the rust louse okAY?!" his question getting cut short to a intentional NO form her wings first beat jolting them high above the few trees around them and the next few springing them so high Sang swore the mountains looked like hills next to them. after they got to a safe height they stared working through a few scenarios that Sang had cooked up in the desert after seeing the short battle. he practicing the little magic that he knew and having quite some time controlling it with the winds and his dragon whipping her body around like she was nothing but a rope like snake trying to get one hell of a work out. after her wings had expired to the point of her injure starting to worry the both of them did they land. his body was covered in a soft frost from their altitude till they landed it melting quickly to let him know how hard he was sweating as his body felt like he was in a oven. Surete had walked off a few hundred yards knowing that Sang was not finished but she was done. her body steamed with her sweat falling from off the ends of her scales to inside the few crevices of her skin, she even shout out long and large plumes of fire hopping it would help her cool off but that did little to nothing to help her. after Sangs energy had carried him through about an hour of nothing but him casting spells and throwing his body around playing out a battle in his mind with his previous teacher did he stop. collapsing into a pile of dust and human next to his dragons talons. his breath kicking up dust each and every time he breathed out till he rolled over.
"Listen Sang i know your still tired and you might not remember this, but their are a few talents that you have yet to learn how to use. Surete starts off her head resting calmly over his her eyes seaming to cut his skull open like a lab rat.
"What are you talking about Surete? this are all the spells i know.
"Well i don't know how many things i could teach you. but i know you need to learn how to see the world like i do."
peaking Sangs interest a lot more than he had planned he rose up to his feet looking his dragon squarely into his eyes as his held a look of bewilderment.
"What are you talking about?... to see the world like you do?" Letting his hands softly rest on her snout as she rested her body completely on the ground her wings stretched out to ventilate her blood a bit more.
"Their is a way that you can see the world through my eyes. She comments sounding a bit consciousness to Sangs questions after wards but she knew a few that needed no asking as she looked up to him. "so long as we are in the sky, and together, you would be able to track anything you wished. see the thermals that i do. observe other dragons if we find any from beyond your normal level of vision as if they were next to you...
"Heh.. you sound like your trying to sell me something my dear,...you need not try to sell this to me. anything i can do to get inside that mind of yours i'll gladly do just so we can be that much stronger later." he comments with a smile as he rests his forehead on hers.
"Than ill teach you the spell you need to have my eyes for your own. She comments with a grin on her face and a smile in her voice as she slides her head out from under Sangs hold looking his dead in the eyes. "Occhio del drago... Speak these words and you will see like i do." she continues sounding like a age old wise one for a few seconds till she shakes her head lightly. ruffling her wings so she could pull them back to her sides being done cooling off.
Smiling gently Sang starts heading back to the camp whispering the same words she just tolled him to himself he blinks his eyes fora split second as a feeling of a flash of tears running through his eyes make him worry for a moment but when he opens his eyes the world that was coated in a gentle blue moon light turned into a dark series of purples, and blacks. for most of the vegetation around them. the ground had turned into a soft amber and brown coloring using the thermal heat for his excuse for this he then looked to the sky. Staring in awe as the stars had turned into a light display unlike anything he had seen. with the flashes of the sun rolling with a bright gold glossing lightly over a series of colors and the assortment he had only herd of in the halls of the kings grandest palaces. reds, greens, silver, yellow, and teals fought over the night sky for dominance for one moment to the next. with a oranges shooting into the air like a wall of arrows, thermals he guessed as a dark red trail flowed slightly distorted but still notable zinged and tagged through the thermal plumes and cross winds. "Is that?"
" my sent??..." Surete cuts him off smiling brightly through her scales. "Yes, that's my signature case you ever need to find me but like most scents it can get confused with as many as we run into." she cautions before Sangs eyes fall back to the world beneath their feet. looking as sharply as he could his head felt like it got pulled a few thousand feet in front of his body making his stumble a little bit still he got used to the feeling of being literally ahead of himself. but now he could see the fires burning a bright and solid whit to a vibrant yellow. the colors shimmering through the hole spectrum of red that Sang had known of and a few shades he didn't know. watching the body's moving around with the same basic color scheme to their body's, their clothes holding out lines and basic barriers to his eyes like they were made to do. catching sight of Mai his heart fluttered as a soft glow rose from his vary own skin making him hold his hands out in front of him seeing his bones like they were carved from his skin but still see through. pausing for a moment he looked back to surete wondering if he could see the same level of detail of her body but she glowed brightly with nothing but white from her gut. her wings shifted to a deep amber and blue swirling like smoke in a wind tunnel. and her tail looked more like a serpent now than ever. "How do i turn it off?" He asks slightly laughing as he figured that should have been the first thing he asked.
"Just say the same words as before" Surete whispers as she starts walking off towards Rain who was surprisingly a bit bluer than Sang had expected. but than again she was asleep. Whispering the same words over in his mind he blinked again feeling the same tear effect skin his eyes.

Ater getting back to the wagon Mai and Sang had claimed as their "room" For the duration of their travels. Sang got tugged in to the thin layer of cloth acting as their walls a bit harsher than he expected. only to get his head back on straight as Mai's arms nearly squeezed the air out of him and her lips found his. after a few minuets the two tried to settle down after talking about the night and Mai refusing to leave his side tonight. that only made Sang wonder as to why she was acting a little strange but he got his answer a few minuets after the two had laid down to sleep. sadly the two of them must have caused half the camp, or at least the ones who were unfortunate enough to still be awake with another sleep less night filled with nothing but screams and names being hollered out at random.

((sorry for the absence, first week of class and work))

The next morning the elf walked up to the two riders, "Our drawf companion has moved on to tell the Varden of our arrival. Sang...so you will not be startled...do expect a very cautious and guarded welcome. You have earn trust on the outside but you are about to be in the heart of the resistance. You have to understand why we must do everything and anything to protect it." With that the elf turned and began to get ready to move out. Just before leaving he turned back to Sang, "I hope you and your dragon has gotten all the energy out of your system...the next gap is in the varden itself. We have four days of none stop forest and rock."
PostPosted: Sun Aug 24, 2008 1:43 am

Grinning through a sore disposition Sang looks to the elf with an agreeing nod as he finishes packing up the little he pulled out the night prior.
"As do i my friend, as do i." tossing the small sack into the back of the wagon. he waits quietly praying that his welcome will be better than what the king did. figuring that Surete had gotten a bit to big to be held by her neck this time. smiling softly with a gentle laugh his face still holds a hint of fear as he looks to his dragon as she and Rain play lightly in their little nesting ground. though nothing more than light rearing and a few pokes here and their. they knew not to make a big rustle out here, especially sense things would be getting tighter from her on. but Surete seamed to be having a good time. with most of the group they were with just now starting to take down the major portions of the camp they had put up the night before he figured he let them go for a few more minuets before strapping Surete up for the next leg of their journey. Feeling the gentle hold of Mai's hands sliding around his sides his heart jumped softly at first as he looked back to her with a smile. Whispering 'hey' to her he run his hands over her arms as she replys with a bright smile. he skin holding a gentle glow over it as he eyes seamed to look different, at least to him, they were a bit softer, or warmer to him he couldn't really tell witch but it didn't matter much to him as they both looked out to their dragons till the caravan started moving out again with the dragons holding gently in the middle with their riders walking hand in hand out in front of them

((so soooooo sorrry for this late post...^^'))

Three days pasted by very slowly as they made there way through the forest. Normally a dragon rider would fly above to the varden but the circumstance...require this method of travel. As they moved closer to the varden the terrain became more rock than forest and the elf became even more guarded. Something had his attention and his worry was evident. The past day he had pushed the party well into the night and awoke them early. He was trying to make time.

Night quickly fell and elf insisted to move on. It wasn't until the moon was in the middle of the sky and Mai's somewhat suttle disapproval and exhaustion did the elf allow them to set up camp.

"We leave before day break in six hours. Don't bother to unpack anything but you beds and some food. We will not be having a fire tonight," instruct the elf. About an hour after settling the elf moved to the path they had been taken. Even though there was no actual path the elf began to back track about mile. Leaving the two dragon riders alone.

((its okay Relena biggrin ))

Having nearly immediately falling sleep with Mai in his arms Sang for some odd reason got roused by Surete's Voice. warning him that the elf was moving off on his own Sangs curiosity got peeked. Slipping his arm from under his love body he sneaked out of the wagon. pleading Surete to stay with the cap and keep it safe. but much to her displeasure she stayed letting sang follow thir Elfish friend to the road behind the a he pulled his clothes a bit tighter tohis skin as a sharp breeze blew by him.
"Where is that fool going on a night like this? sang asks himself half wondering why he was following him. but he kept walking all the same.

((God is guild has go serious problems now. All the members are gone and I keep getting busier and busier.))

The elf crouched down low to the ground as he gazed upon the army before him. This was not good.

Walking up behind the Elf Sang slowly crouched down a little when he watched his friend. getting up to his side he looked to the mans face asking "What are you doing out here?" before his eye turn down the hill side his body getting frozen in shock to what had been following them.

((What army is this? AND COME ON, WE REALLY NEED TO POST MORE!!!))

Mai had secretly been following SAng. Of course she wasn't going to leave him alone. Or it would work the other way around to. (She didn't want to be alone) She had been listening to their short conforsation and had accidentaly bumped into Sang. "Oof" she looked up. "Oh.... sorry. I new I shouldn't have came but...." she rambles on some more. "Sorry" she said quietly. "But..... waht's going on now?" she asked. She moved closer to Sang, just a bit scared of what was happening around them. "Or what's going to happen?" she asked in wisper when she looked up at the Army up on top of the hill.
She was scared beyond belief as she clung to Sang. "What do we do," she said trying to form the words in her mouth.

((alright, me and Sang are moveing along. ))

Mai started to feel lightheaded. Her eye site began to play with her and everything became a blur to her. "sang?" she asked silently. Mai collapsed right on the spot.

Humming softly as he hears his name being called out into he slightly shilled night air. sangs turns his head to see Mai fall to the ground limp. sightly horrified by the sudden change of events sangs attention was torn form the rows upon rows of fires in front of him to Mai as he softly shook her. when she didn't respond to him. his heart kicked into over drive as fear griped tightly to his heart. looking back to their elf friend, who's eyes were still studying the force down the hill Sang sighed softly. not even bothering to say where he was going sang rolled Mai on to her back before he lifted her into his arms. standing his feet moved as if they had a life of their own as he just walked. hoping he was heading for the camp, but the only thing running through his mind was 'move, move, move.' as the rocky path kept making its self known to his feet as he slipped and stumbled from time to time.

The elf finally pealed his eye from the army and quickly caught up with the two as they moved back to the camp. The elf guided them back to the camp and quickly began to pack the essential. "Sang, do you know any fire spells?"

"A few." Sang comments quietly as he softly lies Mai down on their bed. "I though you said that he would be getting better soon." Sang commetns not really caring to ask why he wanted to know. sense he had this odd habit of telling him anyway. helping out a little with what was left with the supplies his eyes kept glancing back to the army to their tail. "just where did they come from?" he thinks to himself.
