I've recently read (and loved) George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series (or at least, the ones that are out so far, of course). To be honest, I've been getting sick of fantasy lately, but I found that this is a series that is really refreshing -- it's not like anything else I've read, and the complexities of plot, character, setting, etc. are really impressive. Has anyone else read any of these books? What's been your favorite part, and who's been your favorite character, so far?
For those of you who haven't, the first book is called A Game of Thrones, and I highly suggest you check it out!

I bought one of those books once. Storm of Swords, I think. I didn't realize it was the middle of the series, though, so I haven't read it yet. I need to keep my eyes open for the first in the series. I Goodwill most my books, so sometimes that's easier said than done.

I will look that up when school starts again. I think I've seen it in the library- and there's a chance of my dad owning it.
