I've been posting in the general thread for a while, but I guess I should make an actual collection thread here now, with a list and all.
Photo outdated (May 1, 2010), but you get the gist.
I have a full book-by-book list, located [link temporarily not working, will fix it when I have time]. It has a bit more detail. This list is what I use to count the number of books in my collection. It excludes light novels, magazines, doujinshi, and English editions as I do not consider those a part of my manga collection. My list here will exclude collected anthologies and guide books, but these can be found on the list I linked. So, effectively the list in this post is of series tankoubon only.

Starting with 2009, I've decided to try to keep track of my spending on manga and related fees. This is mostly to satisfy my own curiosity, but maybe some of you guys care to see how much a collection like this costs.
2009 Total: $1755.63 Details.
2010 Total: $494.05 Details.

YAY! someone else who only counts manga in there collection, I don't know how many manga some people have because they include all their anime/manga related books.

Cagalli: Yah, it annoys me when I get all excited over someone's list of 700 books but then only 150 of them are tankoubon while the rest are magazines, art books, etc ~_~; Plus, this is the manga collection guild, not the manga/artbook/magazine/novel collection guilds :<
Komurin/Meggie: My Japanese isn't actually that great xD I have a harder time reading them than I would in English because I don't know a lot of kanji/words. I can understand them enough to get what's going on, but things do go past me, particularly in manga where there's a lot ot talking about backstories and such, those tend to have words I don't know. Fortunately in the manga I tend to read, there isn't too much of that.

I wouldn't either. I don't count my english editions either, but it's not like they contribute anyway. I have Petshop of Horrors 5, and that's it xD; I also have Ragnarok 1-5 but that's manhwa so it doesn't count at all xP

Well, more people then I thought just count manga. Darth_Magnus counts all his anime/manga related books, and I'm pretty sure mingsao includes manwha and there's a guy who has everything in Japanese so I have no clue if he does.....? Oh and some people have their magazines counted....can't remember who....
