Bio: Hayate was born in the Fire Nation capital. His parents weren't royalty, but considering his fathers station in the Fire Nation Navy, they might as well have been. His mother was seamstress, and was often asked to make things for the royal family due to her talent. It was through this that he was exposed to the royal family, as he often was in charge of entertaining the guests while the servants were busy. He was enrolled at one of the Fire Nation's more impressive schools after making a good impression on the Fire Lord and of course through his father.
As far as bending goes he's very skilled, rough and unpolished, as his teachers would often say, but still skilled. Although he tries to avoid using his bending because he sees it as showing off. His mother and father both encourage him to constantly practice his bending, although most of the time he says he will and goes off and does something else.
