 Taiyou laid under the shade of a big oak tree, soaking up the glorious sun that flitted through the gaps in the canopy to shine on her. The rays were warm and loving, a perfect day. A slight wind blew her hair and cooled her down as well. Her scales shined and sparkled in the brilliant sunlight that drifted onto her. Beautiful rays of orangeish red emitted from her scales. She gave off calm, and peaceful vibes. Days like this gave her reason. Taiyou had this glow about her whenever she was truly care-free and just enjoying life.

 A pale grassy plain was instantly dotted with a bright red shape. It was Strawberry. She bounced across the field joyously hoping to see Taiyou again. She really liked that Ulaya. She was the only one who seemed to understand Strawberry and in Strawberry's opinion, actually liked having her around. It was nice for her to finally find someone who understood that she was and always would be Hyper.
A giant grin formed on her face as she bounded forward joyously. Her bright eyes looked around for signs of that yellow and orange pelt. As soon as she spotted it she bounded joyously forward never losing her grin. "HiTaiyou,it'smeStrawberry,remember?" She asked excitedly as she approached. It was a bright sunny day and as Strawberry observed Taiyou was obviously relaxing. she hoped that she didn't make the other mad. Her smiled faded for a bit, but it came back as she thought how silly she was being. Taiyou wouldn't ever not like having Strawberry around... Would she?

Taiyou looked up as she heard Strawberry's voice, a warm and gentle smile forming on her face. She laughed lightly and ruffled Strawberry's forelock. "Yes, I do, young Strawberry," she spoke. She continued to smile as she thought about Strawberry. Such a kind heart with os much to give... She is very energetic, that I'm positive about. I wonder if she has parents or friends... Strawberry was bouncing happily in front of her. Taiyou couldn't help but laugh at how cute she was. Her smile slipped before she regained it. "Do you have any friends little one?" She cringed on the inside hoping her question didn't offend the kit.

Strawberry smiled at her answer and was caught off guard for the second one. She frowned a little. "MostotherUlayahatemebecauseI'msoweird." She replied looking a little crestfallen. She paused for a minute. And for once in her life she spoke a little slower with clumping her words as much. "Ithinkthat myonlyfriend is... You?" She said slowly looking at Taiyou with big round eyes wondering what she would say.

Taiyou, on the inside, was very upset that Strawberry had no friends. On the outside, she smiled warmly. "Of course I'm your friend," she said, pulling Strawberry close to her. "Child, take a deep breath, and clear your mind. You needn't clump your words together as if you're in a rush. Take pauses and speak clearly and evenly. That is the only reason I can find that someone may think you're weird. Even though, that isn't a big deal, Strawberry. You're still young and have you whole life ahead of you. Spend it wisely..." She smiled and nodded at Strawberry, giving the kit a little nuzzle.

Strawberry narrowed her eyes and thought. That would be a good thing to start thinking about... "I'lltry." She squeaked. With as much focus as she could she started to slow her words down a bit. "How's this?" She asked. It felt weird having to focus just to get a few words right. Maybe Taiyou was right. Maybe she'd fair a lot better if her words weren't so clumped together.

Taiyou smiled when Strawberry slowed her words. "Very good, Strawberry. I'm sure, with a little practice, you'll be talking as you just did out of habit," she warmed. This kit was learning to become... "normal" thanks to Taiyou. She found it sad that everyone judged Strawberry without meeting her first. Tai thought she had to help. One way or another....

Strawberry smiled and remembered something. "Wait a moment!" She said with an effort to speak slowly. She dashed back to where she came from and grabbed a strawberry she had been hiding. This one was like no other. It was fatter than all the other strawberries and it definitely smelt nicer too! She rolled it over to Taiyou's paws and smiled. "For you~" She said with a grin.
