so here i am, traveling down the hwy at a good rate of speed, focused on nothing but the road ahead of me.
im in the zone ya know.
now i dont know if its poor helmet design (hawk) or a previous infestation... but my concentration is broken when a BEE starts buzzing around IN my helmet before it plants itself on my eyelash...
then my nose...
then my lip...
while im driving...
fast...
a girl i may be, but i controlled my urge to flail about and quickly flipped my visor open and closed to blow away the stingy insect. but how the hell did it get in there and survive i would certainly like to know. the day before i even got a gnat up the nose. gonk
and this happens while wearing a full faced helmet.

All my helmets (Racing, stunting, and cruising) are Shoei made. I've never had that problem.

I have two story's (FYI i have a full face helmet) traveling on the interstate i got dust in one of my eyes. I thought ok I'll just close that eye until it feels better. not even a mile later and dust got in my other eye so going 70mph i pull of the rode barely able to see.
On a night ride past a state park i almost hit 3 animals though one was close. I look away from the rode for one second and when i look back i see a 2 foot wing span in front of my tire and when i went past the only thing i felt was a wing hit my foot. talk about lucky!

I was riding to work one sunny morning and a frikkin bumble be flies into my hempet and lodges itself inbetween my face and my helmet. I pulled over as soon as I could, and I couldn't have removed my helmet faster!
I HATE BUGS!
I guess thats what I get for riding with the visor open. sweatdrop

lol i`ve splattered bugs but NEVER got one in my helmet...dirt helmet that is....
