They had been travelling together for a few days, and the big brown male felt closer to the black and white female more and more each day. he knew there was a spark between them, it was just difficult for him to say anything knowing he was going to leave her. They had left Palahalas valley to travel back from whence he had come, to return to the lioness whom he considered his daughter. He knew zebadie wasn't happy about it but he had to go back, it was his duety to watch over the lion cub whom he had raised.

A long sigh escaped ehr lips as she bent her head to take a mouth full of grass, they were taking a breif respite by a pool, their thirsts quenched food was high priority, they had been travelling hard and she knew full well they had to keep their strengths up but it was hard to eat when your mind was so full of questions which had no real answers. pride stopped her from begging Gobo to return with her, and pride kept her by his side for as long as possible. She knew why he must leave her, but that didn't make the parting any less of a sour taste in her mouth.

Ajabu was loosening up a little which made Tafuta happier. They had been able to wander for days now, he knew they would be returning home, Tafuta loved her pride and so he would have to think about joining. It would be strange being part of a pride but he and Tafuta had a bond now and nothing was going to break that.
Today they had both decided to rest though rest wasn't really what they were doing. They had started playing and the two of them were rolling around the grass together. They were unaware of the water they were about to fall into or the company that they had near by. Either way the adolescent female and adult male continued chasing each other and rolling about untill they landed in the water with a rather large splash.
"Oh Ajabu, look what you have done to me now!" Tafuta chuckled as she crawled over to him and nudged his side.
"Hey, you started it missy!" He laughed, allowing her to just mess about with him. Still completely unaware of the company they had by the water. In fact it was Tafuta who noticed them, raising her head and seeing the two strange looking creatures.
"Hey you two!" She smiled clambering over Ajabu, wet and laughing. These were two strange lions that was for sure.

Gobo sounded the alarm first, giving out a loud grunt and they both scattered a little way away from the watering hole. he stood stock still, his dark, deep brown eyes looking at the two lions cautiously, they didn't seem to be hunting, still it was better to be safe than sorry. Beating the dusty ground with one hoof, the big male klipspringer lifted his head high, looking down his nose at the two lions, the vision of a regal prince, or so he felt any way. "I suppose a greeting is in order." he snorted tossing his ears high trying to make himself look even larger. It wasn't really that hard to converse with lions after all, not all of them were out for lunch, these two seemed to just be having some fun, which he could appreciate. The last few days had been alot of fun with the zebra stripped female.

Zebadie on the other hand was less than amused. "Bloody lions! I swear if I get indegestion i'm gunna come and kick your furry butts all up and down the savannah!" She grunted her brow wrinkled in a glare. She knew full well she could never and would never be able to do this, but the threat was there, she felt her confidence flood back in to her small body, the short dash from the waterhole long forgotten. "Lions, think you own every where, startled every damn living thing you did with your bloody galavanting all over the savannah like noone else is here. Coulda given me a heart attack!" She clicked her tongus and grunted, her gaze fixed ont he two soggy lions. How amusing they looked when wet, it was times like this she wondered why she featerd then, wellt he claws and teeth sort of decided the fear, not the fact that they looked very soggy when wet.

The two lions just stared in disbelief at how rude their food could be. Ajabu just stared at the two of them trying to work out why they were talking to food but then again Tafuta wasn't always the most understandable thing.
"Erm, hi, I am Ajabu and this is Tafuta. Sorry if we scared you." He might as well apologise even if he didn't understand why today they were talking to something he would happily eat most of the time.
"I am so very sorry that we disturbed you. I think we must have got a little carried away!" Tafuta churckled. She was way too happy to just be messing with Ajabu and so it didn't really bother her that she had just upset some others.

Gobo raised a brow and looked at Zebadie. "Calm down zebadie, remember this isn't the valley, we arn't safe out here." he sighed and looked at the two lions. "It's hard not to be scared when the whole world is out to chomp on your backside" he grunted his ears flickering a little.

Zebadie huffed and looked up at Gobo before turning back to the two lions "yeah, well you two just keep your distance, we have no desire to become lunch for a pair of soggy moggies." She stampped a hoof then her small tail flickering back and forth in irritation. It seemed to her where ever they went they were interrupted by lions. She wished something would hunt them for a change, see how it felt to be the meal instead of the fed.

Tafuta chuckled. "We won't come any nearer then you wish us to" She then walked beside Ajabu and nuzzled him happily. "We aren't hungry anyway. It hasn't been that long since we last ate" She smiled and just leant on Ajabu for a little while. They might be sopping wet but yet being this close to Ajabu was still just wonderful.
"Yeah what she said." Ajabu just chuckled. Tafuta was always the one to make others more trusting and just to talk to them. She was the social one and he was her leaning post it seemed. Oh the joys of having a mate. For they were mates now at least in his mind they were. Ajabu loved Tafuta and he knew she loved him.
"Where have you both come from then? You mentioned a valley." Ajabu was just trying to make friendly conversation.

The big male raised a borw, he relaly had no reason to doubt that the two were not hungry, still he kept an eye on them and stayed right where he was, ready to leap away if attacked. Gobo chuckled "Oh don't ask, she'll get on her soap box now." he smirks nudging the female klippy playfully, he was just jokeing, but he knew if anyone asked about the valley that she would get up on her podium and rant to anyone about wheer she had come from and all abotu palahala.
Zebadie glared at him and butted his side gently. "Don't start with me gobo." She smirked "The lions asked I should tell them!" Looking back to the two lions she puffed out her chest and spoke in high docile tones "I hail from palahalas valley, it is a safe haven for creatures like us, where no predator can get in and make us in to their favouriate sport. It's a place of beauty and splendor and our god watches over us, protects us and makes sure that we never come to harm."

The lions were interested to hear what the female had to say. It was all rather interesting that they had Gods as well. Neither Tafuta or Ajabu would have ever thought that their food had Gods just because why would their Gods allow them to be eaten? However they did have this place.
"It sounds really interesting, is it like our prides?" Tafuta was curious now.
Ajabu wasn't all that bothered so sat himself down in the shallow end of the water with Tafuta still leaning on him. She was happy now, she loved to learn where as Ajabu loved to just well, be himself! It was much more interesting then learning. He would be more then happy to just return back to the pride and live their for goodness knows how long.

"Well it's called a herd." Zebadie grunted, tapping her hooves to the ground and raising a brow. "It is a wonderful place, much better than any pride land, we grow fruit and vegetables and live ur lives out until we grow old and die. It is the only place in the world wheer we are safe from the likes of you people." She raised a brow, she was curious about this lioness, at least she was showing an interest, which the black and white female appreciated. After all Maybe she would pass on the word. She knew full well that their valley could never house every prey beast int he world, she also knew that many preybeasts were happy to live out their lives in the lands of lions, leopards and cheetahs. They after all outnumbered the predators. It was nice just not to be afraid all the time.

Gobo smiled at the young lioness, she was clearly a gentle soul, willing to learn about the world he could appreciate that. "It is unfortunate that for the world to live those like us must be eaten, but we have our paradice, as I have no doubt you must have yours hmm?" he smiled at the two, he could see love when it stared him in the face. "Ours is a physical thing yours more a mental i would say." He chuckles tipping his ehad and giving a laughing grunt. he was amused by these lions, still cautious but amused.

Well they knew it was called a herd they were just wondering if it acted like a pride but she didn't really answer that question. The male however confused Ajabu completely.
"Mental thing? What?" He then looked at Tafuta who clearly had understood it and had a rather large smile on her face.
"Your little paradise sounds lovely. It is a shame we can't live in harmony, if we did then we would die. Something wasn't right when the world was made clearly." Tafuta continued to smile as she spoke and then nuzzled Ajabu to reassure him. The poor thing always got confused so easily.

Zebadie looked at Gobo, he was always more accepting to lions, unlike herself, she didn't want anything to do with them, she just wanted them to leave her alone. "Yes it is a fantastic place we all live together in harmony, so I guess it is kind of like what you would call a pride. Though obviously our herd is so much better." She smirks, she was very proud of her herd, even thoughit was currantly small, she knew when the word got out that others would come and their herd would flourish.

Gobo cleared his throat and gane Zebadie a quick nudge "Perhaps it is time for us to move on hmm?" he raised a brow at the stripped female, "We don't want to be around when they are hungry." He glanced at the young female and gave a wink, she reminded him of his adopted daughter and it made his heart flutter a little. How he missed her at moments like this. Even with zebadie at his side he missed his child. "You remind me alot of my daughter young one, she has a mind as sharp as a tac as well." He smiles and nudges zebadie lightly. "Come, we should get on."

Taftua just smiled and noddded at Ajabu. They should get going as well there was no doubt aboiut that.
"Your herd does sound pretty amazing."
He had children? Ajabu knew it the two were mates! Haha! He wasn't that stupid clearly.
"We should be going as well. It was so nice to meet you and Tafuta has clearly loved learning from you. She is like that." He smiled down at her and stood up, shaking his fur dry a little. Before turning around, leaving in the opposite direction seemed like a good idea.
"Thank you so much and good bye!" Tafuta chirpped happily as she turned to follow Ajabu. She had learnt alot and it made her feel a little guilty that in a few hours they would both be hunting.
