so i just wanted to see if our guard was the only one who does obsessive amounts of ab workouts. I just got back from the sleepover part of our band camp and this morning our instructor made us do ab workouts for an hour (including pilates, 16 and 24's, punches, etc.). THEN he made us do abs with the band...
then again that might be because i beat him at our pilates competition at the talent show the night before redface which is saying something, because that boy is fit.
but still, how much abs do you guys do??

my guard does like 320 crunches, and every 50 wee change the dosition of our feet, from regular, to 90 degree angel to straight up and down back 2 90 then regular, and they also make up do pelvic thrusts(im just glad they took out the arm movements for that one) and besides from that, i think thats it...maybe...

My HS instructor said if we wanted good abs we could do them on our own time, but my college instructor has us do 100 crunches, scissors, and a few things I don't know the names of. They make my shoulderblades and tailbone hurt more than my abs, sadly D=

our guard does a lot of crunches and push up the push ups r oviously for strength the point of the crunches is so that your posture looks good having strong abs makes u stand straight and look strong which is good for performance.

We do the SAME thing. It's so tiring. When we had dance camp we did "the circle of death" and did constant ab workouts for what seemed like forever. Everyone laid on the ground in a huge circle doing them.

My old instructor (two/three years ago?) had the sabre line hold the 'v' position for a minute + if one member of the line did something wrong. They were all girls. The rifles had to do a bunch of push-ups as a line. I was the only girl. LOL. So, sometimes he had me do the 'v' position. ('Cause the sabres were all super skinny, but needed to become toned, not thin, and the rifles needed strength. But I 'tis fat, so I had to do the 'v'.)
