The Rules
1- Obey the Gaia ToS at all times!
---Those found to be willfully violating the ToS will be given one warning, and if nothing has changed, be immediately banned for the good of the guild! Those who unknowingly violate the ToS will be allowed to stay only on the conditions that they fix the offensive posts in question, apologize, and (if it is felt needed) make amends to the parties in question.
2- Eye-Candy Incorporated is not a porn/hentai guild!---While it is true that the name of the guild is Eye-Candy Inc. and that the founder may have *cough* 'certain tastes' in images, this guild is not meant to be your own personal palace-of-pleasure, guys. Explicit 'adult' images are a violation of the ToS, and thus forbidden. Saying this, though, we realize that not everybody in the world has the same set of standards... This is why we have the Guidelines and FAQ section, though. Read it.
3- Don't spam the guild.
---The guild is expected to be pulling down enough bandwidth without spamming it, thank you. Do not spam the guild. Excessive spammers will be kicked out. You are allowed to post (each one of) your 'bump' pics in the designated 'Show Us Your *Bump* Thread!'; however, this thread is meant for allowing you to show off the images you may use for 'bumping', and is not actually meant for 'bumping' itself.
4- On repeat images:---Please try hard not to repeat images within a thread! If the image is a different size, has been edited in some manner (made into a banner/wallpaper of significant difference), is of better quality, or is the original of some work that has shown up that thread before, feel free to post it. People who are found posting the same old images time-after-time-after-time will be warned, then considered to be spamming the thread on purpose and most likely banned. If you are new to a thread, please try looking through it first to see if someone else has already posted the image. You will get to enjoy all those other images along the way.
5- Do not post images directly from Deviant Art.
---To be blunt, it doesn't work. Images from Deviant Art are protected against this. So don't even bother trying. Instead, post a link to the page that the image is shown on.
6- Do not direct link Webcomics or Online Manga. Our founder Gatz TdaMax on the reasons why:
---Gatz: "Many online artists get upset at having their bandwidth stolen in this way, and most of them don't exactly have lot of money to begin with. I also owe many of these artists a great deal of personal gratitude and respect for making me laugh, cry, and smile throughout the years, as I feel all people who truly enjoy their works will agree. Therefore, there will be no direct posting of webcomics/online manga pages or panels in the guild without very, very good reason... Like, say, if one forgets because the house they are in is burning down around them. That would be an example of an acceptable reason."
"That said, persons wishing to post said webcomics or online mangas installments are to instead post a link to that particular section of the artist's website they wish to share with the guild, or to the homepage of the site itself."
---Note---A number of artists have also taken the precaution of getting a software setup that protects their precious bandwidth from such leeching. So like Deviant Art, it doesn't work---all the time, at least.
7- Be polite. Play nice.
---Be nice to your fellow posters. Don't bad mouth other people, and if you are going to say bad things about their pics, art, avatar, speech, or whatever, try a bit of constructive criticism first. A little politeness can go a long way.
8- Try not to stretch the page when posting.
---It's just really annoying. Picture that stretch it just a little will probably be forgiven, but please post larger images as links only, alright?
9- Introductions and Profiles.
---New guild members, please introduce yourself and fill out a profile so that we can keep track of you!
10- Image Searching Searchers for Hire
--1--Members of the guild are available 'for hire' to fellow Gaians who wish to have the guild find them a specific type of image. To hire a member, send a PM to Gatz TdaMax with your request and a description of the kind of image you want. Gatz will then search through the profiles of our members and select an (active) member who appears well suited and familiar with the specific type of image you are looking for. Searchers are encouraged to use the guild threads and links as resources if possible. That's part of the reason they are there, after all.
--2--The service fee is 600 gold per image, to be divide evenly among the searcher(s) and the guild itself upon finding an acceptable image that matches the description given. If a picture matching the description is not found within a week or two, the employer will be notified and the job dropped. If the gold has already been sent in, it will be refunded at this time.
--3--Once again, Eye-Candy Incorporated is not a porn/hentai guild! If you want someone to find you that sort of thing stuff, do it on your own time, not ours.
--4--If you are joining/already a guild member and do not wish to be a searcher for hire, please state so in your profile.

FAQ (please read):
Q-How many images can I have per post?
A-Unless you are an artist in the Advertising thread, just one.
Q-WHAAAAAAT?! JUST ONE LOUSY IMAGE PER POST???
A-Yep. Just one We realize that this seems like a lot of work, but is some very good reasoning behind this this:
--1--Load time for the page. A page with fifteen images can take a whole minute to load on a slow connection or dial-up; several hundred would take the better part of half-an-hour. We'd really rather the guild pages not get broken pages all the time, thank-you-very-much.
--2--$$$GOLD$$$. The more posts you make on Gaia, the more gold you get. So, really, why make one huge ten-image post when a few single image ones and a little bit of time will net you about 10x as much money? It's just good economic sense.
--3--Easy post management. Not having to search through fifty different lines of text to pick out and delete one offending image is worth the hassle of posting multiple times.
--4--One image per post means that we get an accurate idea of just how popular a certain thread is. This way less popular threads can be allowed to die in peace (if totally inactive), while the more popular ones can be given higher priority for maintenance/reviewing by guild members.
--5--You can have only one picture directly posted per post, but you can have as many links for in a post as you want. The reasons for this are that links take up a heck of a lot less bandwidth, and they'd look rather silly if you simply posted them all separately. Right?
Q-Can I post any comments I have along with my own image, or about someone else's?
A-Yes. Actually, comments with and about images others have posted are encouraged; they promote guild activity. Just try not to carry it on for three whole pages, okay?
Q-What should I do if an image seems to belong in two (or more) threads? Do I pick one?
A-Post it in both (or all that apply)! The more posts, the better! This way as well: if a particular thread dies out, the pic may have a better chance of surviving in another thread.
Q-What if there doesn't seem to be a thread that's right for my image?
A-First, try asking one of the guild crew about it. They can either direct you to a proper thread, or we can create a new topic section for you. You can always, of course create your own section---but we will more likely than not have you or a crew member edit you first post so that it has details about the type of images we want in that section later on, and it's imaginable that that is going to get a bit annoying real quick.
Q-So, wait, this searching thing... I can get GOLD for being in this guild?!
A-In theory. Let's see how it works out first before we pass judgment on that.

Guidelines on the posting of images (be sure to read it all):
Q-Good/Awesome art and sketches?
A-Yes. Post as much as you want in the Awesome Art thread, so long as the other rules are followed.
Q-Average/Bad art and sketches?
A-Umm... Well, that really depends. We're not going to fault anyone for wanting to share their work with the world, but we do try to hold the images here to a certain standard... If you are not a commission artist advertising here, and this is not some image belonging to a talented artist (that you found and just had to share with everyone), please post it in our Average & Amateur Art section. This is section for people who draw and/or doodle as a hobby, and the images created by such people (if the image is not your own).
Q-Can I post pics of Cute girls?
A-Yes! (Gatz: heart )
Q-Hot girls?
A-Yes! (Gatz: Yes please!!! heart )
Q-Cute and/or Hot guys?
A-Yes. (Gatz: ...Well, I guess so. It's only fair...)
Q-Naked people?!
A-Down boy (/girl)!!! It depends on what is meant by the term 'naked'. If it everything 'important' is covered, the picture is not overtly sexual, the nudity is done tastefully, and you would not be ashamed of showing the pic to your parents, then there's a good chance the answer may be a 'Yes'. Otherwise it's a big, fat NO.
Q-Nipples ( with girl pics).
A-No. Though some people do not consider this 'complete nudity', many people would see this as mature content and a violation the ToS of Gaia. (Gatz: ... Dang...)
Q-'That' area below the waist is showing?
A-Absolutely not!
Q-Are 'adult situations' involved?
A- evil IF POSTED ON PURPOSE, SUCH IMAGES ARE GROUNDS FOR INSTANT BANNING! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
Q-Macros?
A-Yes, macros of all sorts are allowed. However, please try to refrain from posting Macros that have curse words, contain explicit material, or those that are just meant to be outright rude or offensive to a particular ethnic and/or social group of people. Again, you will be given several chances to delete or alter your post; if you do not, your post will be deleted anyways and you will be banned.
Q-Animated GIFs?
A-The more the better! But all of the rules above apply to them as well. Just because they are animated doesn't give them any extra leeway compared to other images.
Blatantly posting something in violation of these rules and guidelines will be considered grounds for expulsion from the guild. If it looks like you may have just made an honest mistake, you will be given a warning and the chance to fix your post. Though making many, many ‘mistakes’ all the time will be seen as purposely 'pushing it' and a challenge to the authority of the guild crew and moderators in general. In other words, don't make us angry. You won't like us when we're angry. In fact, we really won't like you if we're angry.
All other pictures and images you would like to share should be fine. If you have questions on whether or not an image is okay to post, please PM it to the founder (Gatz TdaMax) or one of the guild crew. If you feel the need to post something immediately and you are unsure of what to think about the pic's content, make it a link and post a warning of sorts and/or any questions you have about the image.
