I was surprised at the guild invite. I wonder if it was a coincidence or not, lol.

We just found out my granny has lung cancer and possibly cancer/an infection in her brain, and my other, younger grandma has been diagnosed multiple sclerosis quite a while ago.

Did I even make a thread on gaia about them?

I forget things a lot.

And it's alright. Both of them are actually doing really great. The one with cancer got a lot worse a while ago, but she's almost completely back to normal. She's really resilient.

The one with multiple sclerosis hasn't been presenting that many problems. She's a shakes a little, but it's not really that noticeable. I'm kinda hoping a cure will pop up soon, but that's highly unlikely. The best I could really hope for really is for something to prevent it before it starts, but that wouldn't help her.

I'm not as down about it as I was before.

[I hope you know I don't refer to them by their illnesses in real life, I just think it'd be confusing if I used 'granny' and 'grandma', which is what I do in real life.] sweatdrop

Hi Neo!

I saw you post in someone elses thread on MS where you mentioned your grandmother, so I sent you an invite ^_^ Welcome to the gang!

Excellent to hear that your Nan with cancer is doing better, and that your Nan with MS is doing well too!

I don't know about soon, but I do hope that one day we have cures for all these illnesses. I think it's easier for pharmaceutical companies to ignore them because they're not that common, and not many people know about them.

Make enough people aware and eventually they'll start campaigning and fundraising, and money will be raised that can be used to fund research, and eventually we'll get there.

Eventually.
