This thread is for those interested in joining either the side of one pirate ship or that of the opposing side of the law against them.
We need suggestions for a ship name and a symbol for the flag.
Also, if you want to throw out wacky history to the crew and it's ship such as past victories, go right ahead. Claimed Spots

You mean for the Aviation Law side, Raivown?
I was thinking of having the group either dock and cause some havoc with some characters, or go and attack a ship. NPCs of officers would be needed though, since there are only a few on the officers side, though it might even out.

Mmmm. Pirates. Would I have no make another char? none of mine would quite be a Pirate. And Sam would be like... The whore that the crew 'use' to get their needs satisfied or something. I doubt hlalf the crew would want him. he IS a man. Id oubt many would want their needs satisfied that much to do a man... but then again.. no one would know ...right?

Actually, if we were being authentic here, a man would work. Cabin boys here essentially used to bring down sexual frustration and were passed around by the crew for their needs. True, some of them did do minor tasks, but seeing as they were children and too young to do much of the heavy labor that being on a ship required, they were just there there to be used. Until they grew up and could really work, then they were no longer used for their body.
I knew I read that somewhere, so I'm pretty sure about that.
It's yet to be decided if the crew wants that type of character. *Not sure how too many people approve of it* I wouldn't be opposed, personally, but a gothic lolita character would not work. We're basically making characters that would work or to put existing ones that look the part on the ship.

*Smacks forehead* I just glanced up to check if it was taken and not reading the name, just said it was already taken, not seeing that it was YOUR name. Yes. You have the part. Let me put up Sebastian's name.
Hmm. I'm reading on the cabin boys thing, and it's all inconclusive. Most is speculated by stories and histories that are interpreted, but it seems nothing is sure. It's sorta brought on by the idea of men in prison, surroded with only men, would bring about some relationships. There are other materials found that some pirate laws showed no one was to bring a woman or boy upon the ship in case of death, or try and disguise them. Death for bringing in a woman. Nothing stated for seducing a younger boy.
I also found some things cabin boys did:Quote: Cabin Boy
The cabin boy is typically a young boy of privileged birth who is sent to sea to learn the maritime trade. Typically the cabin boy waits upon the officers of the ship. In some instances he may act as the Captain's servant. The cabin boy will run messages and errands for the officers, prepare their uniforms, perhaps even fetches their dinner. Because he is an apprentice of sorts, he is also expected to learn all aspects of the maritime trade. The cabin boy works long hard hours. Even on pirate ships, the captain might employ a young energetic fellow as a cabin boy.
It also says on other sites that they were also boys that were either street urchins looking for an escape, or children who were kidnapped by pirates.
Horatio: I don't want to kidnap kids........not if I don't have to.
Still, if someone wants to create a character using that as their way of getting on the ship, I wouldn't be opposed of having my captain character being the one kidnapping them aboard.
I also found a book I'm puttong my list about the 'romantic' lives of pirates.
