"OMG WHAT?" you say.
For those of you who are newer members, Thread Tale was originally a story written about us by QueenOfPuzzles, which we then turned into a roleplay. The original thread can be found here.
Walk and I were reading over random parts of it, and I decided to make a continuation! Muhuhahah!
It's been three years since the first batch of elementalists first defeated the giant monster. They have since gone their seperate ways, many of them breaking the ties of comradship that once united them. Some of them are gone forever, others long for a reunion.
And now, one has come.
There have been disturbances in the lives of the original, or newly named "Stage One" elementalists. Minor demons, arson, and other things that have gotten many of them worried. They've decided to meet again, discussing the recent events. Some of them have apprentices, and more "Stage Two" elementalists will follow as the threat grows.
Will they once again be able to stop complete chaos from enveloping the earth?
Or will they fall, having fought one fight too many?
That is for you to decide.
-----------------------------------------
Rules .Gaia TOS, ER rules, all of that stuff. .No godmodding .No one liners or *action*. Please, for the sake of everyone. -If you're going to use OOC, make sure you contribute something to the story, too.
For those of you that were in the original thread tale: I'd love for you to keep your characters pretty much the same, except of course, they'll be a few years older. If you were playing a different element in the original than you are currently in, you can decide which element you want to be.
Thread Tale, 2.0.
Plot update:: There is a meeting slated at Walk's house for August 16th (today, in the roleplay). The elementalists should be heading over there.

Time holds no favor.Black: Come on! Let's get this show on the road! White: Cue the crappy J-pop intro!
Walk Levitated up the flight of stairs that connected the two stories of his home. The lavender carpet and purple wallpaper hurt his eyes, and he wanted to get into bed as soon as possible. Dressed in a pair of gray gym shorts and a white T-shirt, he was ready to hit the hay as soon as he turned in his room.
With his hair a mess, and with the main hallway the staircase led to connecting to every other room on the second story, it wasn't hard to lose his way. And yet, every time...
Black: Hot hot hot. White: Not again! This is Sumi's room! Yet everyone favors time...

Sumi stirred under the blankets, muttering something in her sleep. She rarely slept well in other people's homes, even if they were good friends. Unfortunately, she didn't have a choice at the moment. She had come home one day from the market where she picked up some food, only to notice the thick black column of smoke billowing above the treeline. Sure enough, she could feel the fire before she saw it, and it was rather obvious the little cottage she used as a home was now cinders on the forest floor. The sixteen year old had ended up at Walk's home after a week or so of camping. The camping was rather difficult since most of her blankets and other supplies had burnt up, and Yami's pestering began to get ridiculously annoying.
A noise from inside her room woke the brunette with a start, and she sat up slowly, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. Of course, this little delay allowed her rather explosive alterego to get in a few choice words. "Bloody hell Walk! Get the hell out of this room, or I swear I will--" the angry rant was cut off as Sumi regained control, rolling her eyes. "Sorry," she apologized needlessly. Walk knew what she was going through, probably better than anyone else. Her control over that darker part of her mind had grown considerably over the three years after the... incident.
Sumi chuckled taking in Walk's haggard appearance. "You look like you've been busy," she remarked.

Time holds no favor."I'm sorry... So sorry..." Walk closed his eyes and drifted out of the room. He floated one room over, and let himself fall over the unmade bed.
White: Ugh... Work, laundry, school, homework... At least dear Sumi's kind enough to make dinner and clean... Black: And wear those tight jeans! White: She doesn't wear tight jeans... Black: Let an alter-ego dream!
Walk had his eyes closed, and yet he was awake long enough to flip his pillow to the cool side.
White: I wonder how the others are doing... Black: What others? White: From that battle... It seems so long ago... Yet everyone favors time...

He looks like he's barely conscious. Come on, let's go annoy him! No. Fine. Then go make some food?
Sumi agreed with her Yami's final statement, and hopped out of bed. She was already wearing her usual black pants and dark blue longsleeved shirt. She pulled on her boots and put on her belt, leaving her gloves and metal bracers where they were on the floor. She didn't really need them to cook. She skipped down the stairs and out the front door, grabbing a log from the woodpile that was on the side of the house. This she threw onto the wood burning stove, visibly flinching as she lit the match and hastily threw it in the stove, shutting the door.
Haha. Sumi's afraid of fire!~ Shut up. You are too.
There were no more wise comments from her other half as she cooked up the meat, letting it sizzle in the skillet until it was cooked to perfection. That was one thing the sixteen year old prided herself on: her ability to cook decent food. She had camped outdoors for long enough that she could hunt and cook with ease, much to her Yami's delight.
As Sumi munched on her breakfast, she thought absently of the bulletin she had sent out a week or so before. It had been posted on various boards in town, and she had paid a wandering traveller to put them up wherever he visited. The message was cryptic, but simple.
Elemental children The time comes; we must come together The middle of the month, when the sun is highest At the home of separation and conflict
Sure, most people could probably figure out the first three lines. Elementalists (not that many people actually believed they existed) needed to meet on August 16th in the middle of the day. However, the place was something that would make no sense to anyone who was out of the loop. In the elements, separation and conflict were commonly associated with Phantom, and that in turn would lead them to Walk's house. At least, that's what she hoped. The girl played with her food. She also hoped that new elementalists would come, because she knew that something was going on. Something bigger than anything they had faced before.

The lively sun flooded the countryside with beams of cheerful joy. The sun-soaked countryside flourished with prosperity, and the birds and animals happily played about. Gler was absolutely beaming as he strolled along the old, worn path. It was great to be in familiar territory once again. It had been long... too long, since he had left...
Gler tugged at his cloak a bit, as the heat started to get to him. It didn't bother him much, because of his training, but nonetheless he broke a sweat. Gler was dressed for a colder climate, which would soon come in the following months. He was rather thankful of the cloak, it had been given to him by an elemental of light; the sun symbol on the clasp proved it.
Animals payed little attention to him. A soothing breeze laid calm to all who drew near Gler, and his scent is concealed by another. Because of Gler, a warm, gentle breeze started to blow through the area. In such a good mood as Gler was in, the air just can't stand still in the wake of his joy. It billowed from the southwest, following Gler's path directly.
The sun shone, and the wind blew, and the trees shook, and the countryside sang, as Gler continued along his way.

'Bang. Bang. Bang.'
"Oi, oi.. Is anyone gonna' open up?" This was moronic. Knocking on the door of some strangers house in the middle of no-where (or at least no-where she knew of) and what about? Some crazy bulletin displaying some nonsense about 'Elementals' and 'conflict'. This first word she was not so interested but the second? Awesome. Conflict in these days usually meant some form of violence or disagreement that lead to violence, so this little lady was all for it. But to be completely honest, if it were not for a certain electro-maniac, she would not have known about this so called 'meeting'.
'Hey Rai. Be a friend and check this out for me? I have a few experiments and meetings lately so I haven't got the time for this just yet. Who knows? I might pop in later. _ _ _ _ -- Your buddy, 'Ki-Ki' P.S : Do this and I might get started on that bike you wanted.'
After pounding her fist against the door a few more times, Rai sighed and decided to sit upon the garden wall, elbows leaning on her lap while her chin rested upon her clenched fists. "Don't make me break the friggin' door down.." Her head flopped forward. Now she had resorted to threatening the door; great. Patience was not one of her favoured skills as anyone could plainly see. And why the heck was the wind slowly changing direction? Allowing her curiosity to get the better of her, Rai's gaze drifted over to a cloaked figure strolling joyfully down the road. Why the heck was he so cheery?

A gust of wind raced through the forest, bypassing Melodia's current location and sending a chill down her spine. Setting her book down, she looked up just as a young sparrow tweeted and spiraled out into the sky, in the same direction as the wind. Melodia stood on the flat tree trunk, holding the tree limb she had been leaning against to balance her body. Something was going on; The wind had suddenly changed direction, and from the feel of it, something was happening again. It gave her the same chill she received three years ago, when she was found by Sumi, next to her destroyed home.
Three years ago... That was too long ago. She had already changed from the cheerful, innocent young girl, to the, well.. More mature woman she was now. Or so she hoped. Melodia hopped from her reading spot into the dirt and leaves, crouched under branches and waved away spiderwebs, before she spied her new home. She briskly walked into her home for the past few years and set down her book, Poison Study by Snyder. Today had been a great day, with the sun, peace, and wind; Now, everything had changed. Sighing and soaking up the homely air of her cabin, Melodia began packing for the upcoming journey.
--
Ready. Looking down at herself, Melodia shook out her open armed, mid-length black coat covering her comfortable clothing of another open armed white turtleneck and brown shorts. She securely tied her faded pink hair in a pony tail and wriggled her fingers, which were free, while a cut glove covered her hands. While in the forest, Melodia had been sure to create actual fighting clothing, determined to be ready for any future battles. There were small pockets hiding poison darts and straps inside her leather boots for useful small daggers. Living in the forest, she had spent her time training with bow and arrows, what with the ample amount of material for her weapon. It hung across her back, along with the quiver that held her very best arrows. Also on her back was a leather pack for extra supplies and clothing.
Stepping outside of the cabin, Melodia cheerfully looked up into the sky and inwardly called for her power. A sudden blast of air centered around her and out of the forest, a gigantic circling tower of wind that swiftly lifted her over the giant forest trees. Laughing out and raising her arms in excitement, Melodia dove through the air and enjoyed her final minutes of the forest before flying out. It only took her a bit longer before lightly stepping onto the ground at the outskirts of a town. She had felt unnatural movements at this area, so perhaps she was in the right place? Her assumption was rewarded by another gust of wind that screamed to her the presence of another Wind Elementalist. Perhaps he or she could tell her what was going on.
She hurried down the road toward the center of the movements and smiled at the house and other people there. There wasn't anybody there that she recognized... yet.

Lawliet steadily walked down the road, tracking every sight and sound, as if someone were going to come out of the blue and attack at any second. He scratched at his messy black hair, realizing that just three years ago, he was a normal and well dressed young boy.
But then the elementals recruited him.
He was recruited into the light element, and did his best not to disappoint his fellow light elementals, but as time passed, he saw death, sorrow, madness, war, and so much more.
Now, he was walking down a road that was supposed to lead to the house of some meeting of the elementals he wanted to witness. He was wearing a long sleeved white shirt and dark blue jogging pants, cursing everything that showed any type of happiness. He quickly got control of his mind, realizing that he was loosing control of his emotions.
As the large house came into view, he felt many more elementals. He stopped cold and realized something urgent."W-w-what if they see me...and try to talk to me?"
His one major weakness? He was immensely shy. The thought or sight of a person made his emotions run.
Lawliet sighed, he figured he could try to stay calm today. He slowly walked into the home, opening the door and quietly closing it behind him.

Time holds no favor.BAM! BAM BAM BAM! Walk turned over and put the pillow over his head. It no longer held the chill that he felt when he first lay his head down.
Black: Damn it... Someone's at the door... White: Let Sumi get it...
The natural tendancy for elementalists to feel each other's presences abided itself in Walk. There were three, so far as he knew, but there was no telling how many more there would be. Sumi's post around the area (there was no telling how far that traveller got,) which summoned the elementalists to his home, started to feel more like an annoying disturbance in and of itself, rather than what it was meant to do.
Having been at work for the night (why did he even work, knowing what he knew?) the sleepiness was hard to escape, but he knew that this meeting was one of the most important of his life - at least, the past three years.
He picked himself up from his bed. The coolness that once soothed his skin left the air feeling warmer than normal as he rose and flew down the stairs to get the door. Yet everyone favors time...

Sumi was just putting her plate in the bucket that held dirty dishes when someone began knocking on the door. She could hear the muffled talking on the other side of the wood, and shrugged. None of the previous elementalists had ever been so... loud. Well, maybe Blizz, but the girl was rather doubting the other ice elementalist would show up. It had been years since they'd talked, and she knew she would be extremely surprised if he ended up coming to the meeting.
Aww. Sumi has a crush! Not at all. And you know that. Hmph.
Since it was starting to sound like whoever was on the other side of the door was about to get violent, Sumi took a deep breath and opened the door. She had to shade her chocolate brown eyes from the glare of the sunlight; it was very bright outside compared to inside the little house. Still squinting, the brunette noticed a young woman sitting on the garden wall, glaring at where the door had been.
Now, she looks like a lot more fun than you two losers. Violent and angry for the win!
Clearing her throat, Sumi managed a friendly smile at the rather hostile looking girl. "Are you here for the meeting?" she asked cautiously, although she already knew the answer. It was obvious that this stranger had elemental powers, and she could feel more nearby. Stepping out from around the door, the girl could clearly see another man walking over in their general direction. Her eyebrows raised slightly at his apparent happy disposition, but she shrugged. It wasn't like she was any more sane than the next person.
Actually, you're less sane, if you haven't noticed. Dual personalities will do that to ya. Well... at least I'm more sane than Walk!
The arrival of yet another elementalist brought a huge grin to the ice user's face. Finally someone she recognized, and better yet... "Melodia!" she shouted, running over towards her friend and giving her a huge hug. "It's been so long! How have you been? Good?" She stopped with the interragation, grinning sheepishly. "I just missed you all so much! And Yami does too, even though she won't admit it." she added, much to the dismay of her alter ego.
There was another man present too, but Sumi ignored him as she continued to greet Melodia. Sure, it was a little bit mean, but she really missed her! She noticed Walk standing in the doorframe and waved to him. Then, she decided she should probably do something about the small crowd assembling outside his house, and she called out in a clear, light voice. "Can all of you follow me inside, please?"

So many people! No.. Elementalists. Upon her arrival at the source of the wind, Melodia immediately felt the presence of all different types of power; A sizzling heat, a shy but bright power, icy expectance from inside the house.. Could it be?
Before she could get acquainted with the other arrivals, the door gently opened, and she was elated to see a familiar face. Sumi! The first person she had met those 3 years ago, the one who had brought her into the pack, and gave her the name she now called herself: An Air Master. Smiling sheepishly and waiting for the Ice Master to recognize her, Melodia wonders if she could still label herself with the title, when she felt so inadequate with her powers. She certainly hadn't trained as much as she could have. Before she could push herself farthur into the guilt, Sumi was rushing toward her with a smile and hug.
"Sumi! I've missed you so much, too! I'm so glad to see you, yes I'm well, and I'm glad to see that you're well, too?" Chortling at the thought of Yami missing them all, Melodia looked deep into Sumi's eyes and laughed, "I bet you missed us, 'cuz we were all one big, happy family! Now it's time to rock and roll, and I bet for you, the more action, the merrier." Melodia smiled, patted Sumi, and followed her towards the house.
At the doorway, she catches sight of another familiar face. One that didn't present as many happy memories as Sumi's face did. Stopping in front of the man, she places her hands on her waist, and playfully frowns up at him. "So which is it now? Still wanna call me a slut? I dare you to, I won't be so kind as I was in the past." Thinking back to the power that Black had presented, she took in a breath and said hesitantly, "Actually... I suppose White would agree with me, the more friends, the merrier.. ?" She held out her hand with a soft smile, hoping for things to start out much better than they had last time they met...

Time holds no favor.Standing there in the doorway, it took but a moment, despite Walk's tired posture and state of mind, to see who it was that greeted him.
"It's the slut from the last roleplay!" Walk exclaimed, an obvious hint of baritone in his voice signifying Black's presense. As he rushed in for a hug...
White: BLACK! She's not a slut! Stop that! I'm taking over! Black: You don't know how to have fun!
Walk stopped short. "I'm sorry about that. I'm very, very sorry..." he stuttered, a little put off that he let Black take control so quickly and so rudely. "I didn't mean that. That was all Black. I know I could say anything and make it sound like Black's fault, but I promise it was him. Really, I mean, I don't think you're a slut at all! You're very pretty, though. I mean, I don't think you attract guys in that way... NOT THAT YOU COULDN'T, OF COURSE! But you don't. But not that you couldn't... Uh.." Walk started sweating. "I should go get dressed." He drifted off. Yet everyone favors time...

Melodia made a face at Black's first exclamation and was ready to punch his face out, before White took control. In confusion, she just stared at him as he continued to babble away, and finally began giggling at the end of his rant, and let out a loud laugh when he drifted away. Walk is quite a confusion, but it's good to see him again. In fact, now that she thought of it, she hadn't really talked to him much when they first met; She had only joined the group for around 2 days before the monster attacked, and after that, he had disappeared. Hopefully, she would understand their two parts more, in the next few weeks.
Smiling wickedly, Melodia raced back to the Walk and clamped her arms around him in a agonizingly tight hug, before letting go and knocking her fist against the back of his head. Enough force to make his head fall foward, not enough to cause any sort of injury. She was expecting her hug to be surprising enough to not illicit any sort of defense from him. "That's for calling me a slut, b*****d! But it IS good to see you again!" She then raced off and walked along side with Sumi, glad to be with her old friends.

His feet hurt. And the perpetual weight of his past pulled down on his shoulders. His trek had been an uneventful one, but what he left behind was all but dull. He needed this break, or this end. He could easily tell that it had been a long time. This was because he had to actually try to refraim from blanketing the surrounding grounds with snow. It had become like breathing. Not in a necessity way, but like a habit.
Within the last part of his voyage he had come acoss a slightly stout man with no posture. He was counting happily what seemed like local currency. On it was printed the face of a woman. She had a grimace that let the imagintion speak poorly of her. The traveler edged his direction closer to juxtaposing the stout man's in order to gain a closer look at the money. But as he near-passed him, he found one paper of a small stack being shoved into his face. It was the stout man's doing. He didn't think that he meant to do it so rudely because he kept his greedy gait going at the same rate as before. So he took the paper and thought nothing more of the now nearly out of sight man.
He read and smiled inside at how well his task was acomplished. He knew that the feeling was no longer illusion. She is here. He had been longing for this moment so that now he felt like running the rest of the way. But he knew that he had to maintain a respectful image of himself, not one of much imaturity. But that didn't mean that he couldn't just feel it inside. And oh, how it warmed his long-forgotten heart.
After some more time spent pounding the trails with his worn feet towards his cool feeling and source of instinct, he came up on a house. There was a small crowd outside of it, no one distiguishable person. It was shrinking as they entered the house. So he moved onward. He wasn't even inside the garden walls before his knees buckled and he fell to the ground in agony. He got up onto one knee and watched the door slowly creep to a close in horror. He didn't want to knock. He wanted this moment to be one without a definite beginning and moreso without an end. He wanted to be seen and found like a lost dog of many years. He looked down at the ground in defeat. Maybe it wasn't meant to be then...
