Status: Currently active Username: AngelicTurtle Character name: Debrah Valko Race: Demon Age: She's been in the mortal plane for 75 years, but her actual age is unknown. Gender: Female Appearance: Debrah is tall, with fair skin and blood red lips. Her hair falls in crimson waves down her back, and her eyes are the color of fire. Her clothes are of black leather and red, coarse cloth, and they leave very little to the imagination. There is a malicious smile on her face, and great, leathery wings lay folded neatly behind her back. Weapons: Debrah is a master of two-weapon combat, and she brandishes a long sword in her dominant hand and a short sword in the other. The swords emit an unholy glow, and any pure creature that lays hands upon them will feel the burn of hellfire. Special Abilities: Debrah can summon hellfire to surround her weapons on command, and she can produce a fiery whip when she is in no mood for close combat. She has mastery over fire, and an arsenal of dark, hellish magic at her disposal. While she cannot hide her demon nature from those with the power to discern it, she can withdraw her wings into her body to better blend in among the unknowing mortals. Bio: Debrah left the plains of hell to walk alongside the mortals, though her reasons for doing so are unclear. She is power hungry and ruthless in battle. She takes pleasure in chaos and suffering, and she makes few alliances. Her joy is sadistic, and her anger is terrifying to behold. She pities the mortals for their weakness, but envies their favor with the gods who long ago deserted her people.

Status: Currently Active Username: AngelicTurtle Character Name: Mizar Race: Imp Age: Unknown Gender: Female Appearance: (These are raw character sketches straight from my sketchbook, so my apologies for them being so yucky...I might put up a better image later) Mizar stands under three feet tall with the build of a young human child. She has light blue skin and long, sharp ears. Her hair and eyes change color on a whim, and can be anything from violet to green to red at any given time. Her apparel appears downright homeless; she wears only a large, tattered, long-sleeved shirt and never accompanies this with shoes. The gold ring around her left ankle is all that remains of the shackles that once bound her. Weapons: Mizar is physically very weak. She uses no nonmagical combat abilities or weapons. Special Abilities: Mizar can shapeshift into small animals (rodents, cats, small birds, etc.) and can alter her physical features (changing her ears and skin color to look like a human child, for example). She can also levitate up to 20 feet off the ground (and will often do so in favor of walking) and teleport within a 50 foot radius of her current location. Most of her magic consists of illusions, weak healing, and an arsenal of weaker combat spells (fireballs, lightening, etc.). She is literally a conduit for magical energy, and loose energy will naturally gravitate to her body whenever she is near. Only in desperate situations or when she has gathered a surplus of energy will she unleash her most devastating magics, which will not only obliterate her targets almost without fail, but will also leave her completely weak and often defenseless. Bio: Born of starlight and mischief, Mizar has no true homeland or loyalties. She thrives on chaos, and she will gravitate toward mischief (or cause it if none can be found). She is attracted to shiny stones or objects with magical properties, and much of her time is dedicated to actively seeking out and hoarding such objects in secret locations, even when she lacks the ability to actually use them. She is generally the go-to girl when a magical item needs to be found since, if she hasn't found it already, she likely knows where to look. Mizar has a fiendish nature, and often her acts can be considered overtly evil. Yet she acts only according to her nature, and must adhere to strict and ancient rules. If she becomes indebted to another individual, she must gift them with a stone that will allow them to summon her whenever they desire her to repay her debt to them (the stone can only be used once, however, and then becomes nothing but a worthless pebble). If an individual becomes indebted to her, she will follow them, asking favors and just being an overall nuisance, until she feels her debt is repaid. She cannot escape from enchantments made using gold (though plain gold has no effect on her), and if she is captured in this way she must indefinitely obey her captor until she is freed. This is a dangerous game, however, as Imps seek swift vengeance against those who wrong them.

Status: Currently Active Username: AngelicTurtle Character name: Eo Aurora Race: Aasimar (Half-Elf) Age: 17 Gender: Female Appearance: (One of these days I'll get something to make these pictures less yucktastic...) Eo stands at a little over six feet tall with fair skin and long, white hair. She is remarkably thin, almost unhealthily so, and her eyes are the color of gold. Eo dresses entirely in white, and her choice of clothing often leaves little to the imagination. She never wears shoes, and the bottoms of her feet are tough as rhinoceros hide and stained very nearly as dark. Weapons: Eo's only weapon is her staff, which she uses both as a melee weapon and as an aide for spellcasting. The wings on the top of the staff can expand for flight or to enhance Eo's wind magics. The staff sometimes seems to exhibit a will of its own, but whether or not the staff is actually an intelligent weapon has yet to be proven. Special Abilities: Eo is primarily a spellcaster. She has dominion over Air and Light, and her arsenal of spells is a reflection of this. She has small, magical wings on her ears, wrists, and ankles, and she can dispel or expand these at will and use them for flight. Despite Eo's revealing dress, she never seems effected by the temperature of the weather. Bio: Eo's human mother was married at a young age to a very wealthy and very influential man of Sol, which would have been a perfectly fine story in and of itself. As it were, an Elven drifter wandered into town and attracted the young lady enough for her to cast aside her moral obligations to her husband for a few hours of highly unladylike behavior in the stables of her own husband's estate. A few months later, Eo popped out into the world as a wiggly reminder of why it sometimes can be bad to do that. The very wealthy and very influential nobleman was fully prepared to believe that Eo was his daughter right up until he realized that pointy ears were not inherent in either he or his wife's genes. It didn't help that Eo's conspicuously absent paternal father turned out to have had a great-grandmother who had tasted forbidden fruit of the Celestial variety, nor did it help that a servant or two might have seen Eo's mother and the estranged Elf sneaking off into the stables in the middle of the night. The numbers didn't add up in Eo's mother's favor, and both she and her white-haired newborn were cast out of the city in shame. Eo and her mother made a new start in a new town with a new name and explanation for why a little half-Elf child was being raised by a single human mother with no father in sight. But, as Eo grew older, she started to realize that her mother's infidelity wasn't the only thing that made her different from her peers. She had the uncanny ability to sense evil, produce light, and manipulate gusts of wind. It became increasingly difficult to keep these abilities in check, and eventually Eo took off to see just what her abilities could do in the outside world. Eo is young and inexperienced, and as such she is highly unsure of herself when trying to use her abilities. She constantly second-guesses herself, and so split-second decisions aren't really her forte. She has a certain degree of naivete, but she is loyal, friendly (though whether or not this works in her favor is subject to debate), and quick to learn.

Okay, for those of you not "in the know", here's a brief explanation of what an Aasimar is (and, hey, I threw in Tieflings for free!): "Planetouched" is basically a general term to describe someone who can trace their bloodline back to an outsider, usually a fiend or a celestial. It's not the same as being a half-fiend or half-celestial. The bloodline usually originated a few generations away, so its much more diluted than that of a half-fiend or half-celestial. The two most common planetouched varieties are Aasimars and Tieflings. An Aasimar can trace their heritage back to a celestial. They are usually very tall, good-looking, and pleasant. Some, like Eo, have minor physical traits that hint at their heritage, such as silver hair, golden eyes, or an unnaturally intense stare. Most of the time, Aasimars are devoted to good, even, on rare occasions, taking on the more vengeful, judgmental aspects of their celestial ancestor. Tieflings are the opposite of Aasimars in that they can trace their bloodlines back to a fiend ("fiend" is another way of saying "demon"). Many Tieflings are indistinguishable from humans, but some have outward traits that give away their nature. They might have small horns, pointed teeth, red eyes, a whiff of brimstone about them, or even cloven feet. No two Tieflings are the same. While some Tieflings defy their nature, most heed the call to evil. In human society, they try to maintain a low profile, often operating as thieves, assassins, or spies. There is a great deal of disdain toward Tieflings, and as such they usually exist as outcasts. Even if a Tiefling manages to rise to a position of power, it quickly becomes an outcast if and when its true nature is revealed.
