All About Kururu!
"Shadowy, depressing, dark personality, dark persona" are words that can best describe Kururu. Add to that a touch of ingenuity, coupled with psychotic tendencies, you have Keroro Platoon's resident mad scientist.
But Kururu is not only a scientist or inventor, although this is his primary purpose, he is also technically the highest ranked member of the Keroro Platoon as Sergeant Major. He isn't the leader of the platoon because he chose to give this job to someone more spontaneous and will therefore give him more source of entertainment.
Kururu is probably the weakest in the platoon in terms of actual physical skill. What he lacks in muscle he replaces with genius inventions which he uses to fight (like his various Kururu-robots). Although his inventiveness isn't always used for its actual purpose in invading Pekopon, no one can deny that everything he does is a work of a genius, accompanied by that all-too-familiar evil aura.
Kururu first appeared in episode 9 (anime) and volume 2 (manga). He was first found by Saburo, whom he had a huge battle with upon first meeting. Afterwards, they seem to get along very well, with Kururu giving Saburo the rights to his "pen". There are a few people that can move Kururu. One of them is none other than Hinata Aki, which is usually the focus of Kururu's perverse side and the person who Kururu registers as the "leader" of the Hinata household. The other is Angol Mois. Her innocent, pure heart can penetrate the shadows in Kururu's heart.
My Own Opinion:
heart Kururu is a funny and loyal person (or frog... whatever). He always does whatever Keroro tells him to do. Sure, his personallity may be dark, but he really can be nice (though... I doubt myself a little on that as well... Kururu, nice?? Yeah right.). And he's also the best froggy in the Keroro platoon! heart
