I though the implication of the characters was... lacking to say the least. It took something I loved and made it Disney without the humor. Frankly, it didn't apeal to me. I can see where others liked it, but it's not for me.

Well the main reason I played it outside of just to have the info was because you get Jack as a sub-character. But what pissed me off was that they ruin the FF characters we all know and love
Cloud: WTF?! was up with the tape on his buster sword I mean come on! Squall: He was cool kinda but they really should have kept him the way he was Yuffie: They made her look like a complete Dumbass and some what of a girly girl Aeris: Same as Yuffie and they changed her name Cid: Wheres the cussing hello usually every other word out of Cids mouth had something like this in it !*@^$&^$(&&@^$&$ Sephiroth: I know they made him powerful and every thing but they made him look like a loser in tights and there is no way in hell that a 14 year old with a dinky little key could beat him I don't care what you say

Ok, at the risk of getting flamed, I like Kingdom Hearts. I always have and I always will love Disney (so I'm really just a little girl at heart) and the same goes for the Final Fantasy characters. Yes, they changed them a bit but if you pay attention to the dialouge they're trying to hide from the Heartless who had destroied their world. That's why Squall changed his name, I can only assume this is why Yuffie and Aeris (I've always hated both characters, especially Aeris) act the way they do.
I'm sure there's reasons for the tape around Cloud's sword and such but, I'm sick and I don't feel like diving too deeply into the imagery and symbolisim in the game... ugh... damn bronchitus!!

((You ok Nem?)) No you won't be Flamed, but even if they were hiding thats no reason to change the way they looks cuase they could easily beat the heartless and Hollow Bastion wasn't destroyed it was just well hidin. They just thought that it was destroyed and Squalll changed the way he looks cause he was being a whiner cause he didn't protect Hollow Bastion from being quote unqoute "Destroyed" but I don't want to get into to much detail either cause BinX has been crying all day and I haven't been able to calm him and he gave me a migraine and I couldn't go to school cause he keeps forgeting to breathe

I don't really remember them changing their looks... I haven't played the game for over a year, though. And I never finished it. And I'm gonna go lie down now xp I hope your migraine goes away.

I'd have to say that I disagree with much of what you say, but it's just my opinion, and thus you can ignore it if you disagree with it.
Now, I'm one of those people who liked Kingdom Hearts. I liked teaming up with some of my favorite Disney characters to go out kicking a** and taking names. It just amused me. Exploring some of my favorite Disney worlds (like the Little Mermaid) was also enjoyable to me, even if these worlds were limited. I enjoyed the gameplay, story, and especially the music from the game. In fact, the only thing I DIDN'T like about the game was Sora's voice, because I just have this feeling that it could have been better.
However, I'd like to add my opinions on what you said about the Final Fantasy characters and their presence in the game.
PsychoSephiroth00 Cloud: WTF?! was up with the tape on his buster sword I mean come on!
What happened to Cloud is something that's rather common. They call it a redesign, something that Tetsuya Nomura, being the original character designer of Cloud, had every right to do. That cape, the demon wing, and the bandages DID have a purpose on Cloud's new character design. The story of Kingdom Hearts revolves around 'darkness' and 'light,' and how both affect a person and their hearts, so to speak. Cloud, as you remember, is not some cheery fellow that spreads love around the world while singing about sunshine and daisies. He's got problems, had a less than pleasant past, and is still coming to terms with his life and many issues. He is 'tormented,' as one might say, although no where near the extent that characters like Vincent are. Tetsuya Nomura even said so himself in an interview that he drew Cloud like that to make him seem more 'darker,' thus helping him fit in with the concept of the story.
PsychoSephiroth00 Squall: He was cool kinda but they really should have kept him the way he was
True, they could have kept his original costume, but that would make him seem somewhat dull in a game that is so new. Also, as mentioned in the story, his 'world' was invaded by the heartless, and since then he has changed. The change in costume/design is a very good way to signify change. Squall was able to maintain his usual self in the game, which is just fine.
PsychoSephiroth00 Yuffie: They made her look like a complete Dumbass and some what of a girly girl
Erm... You may have to go deeper than saying that Square-Enix made Yuffie look like a complete dumbass and girly girl... The last time I checked, Yuffie was indeed a girl, therefore her acting like her gender shouldn't be a problem. Yes, Yuffie is a tomboy of sorts, but that doesn't mean she can't act feminine if she chose to. However, she IS still tomboyish in the game. In fact, I don't recall any incident of her being a 'girly girl.' That, and being a dumbass. This is coming from playing through Kingdom Hearts through at least five or so times. Yuffie is just being Yuffie, and she seemed rather in character considering the circumstances. Remember, certain things about the characters (like their origins) were changed for this game to fit in with the story.
PsychoSephiroth00 Aeris: Same as Yuffie and they changed her name
First off, the same thing I said about Yuffie being Yuffie applies to Aerith over here. Aerith is just being Aerith. Now, before you go on saying "What the hell is your problem, Aerith isn't her name! It's Aeris!", take this into consideration. Before Final Fantasy VII was ever released in the U.S., Square-Enix (at that time, Squaresoft) had always written Aerith's name as Aerith, not Aeris. Yes, it sounds like they're saying Aeris with a lisp, but that's besides the point. When Aerith was written in Japanese, it's written as "Earisu." The 'th' sound in the English language is usually written with a 's' sound in Japanese, like 'su,' becuase they do not have the 'th' sound in their alphabest. The Japanese language is based off of sound, as in if you say 'su,' there is a character used for 'su' as opposed to writing out two symbols to make the sound. However, because "Earisu" can be translated as either Aeris or Aerith, the translators opted to go with Aeris, because it's a much more common name. Thus, the reason the English version has her as Aeris instead of Aerith. However, with Kingdom Hearts, they have better translators, and probably opted to fix that little error, as her name WAS originally supposed to be Aerith. It still is, which is why everytime you go to a Japanese Final Fantasy website, her name (if written in English) will be written as Aerith, not Aeris. Thus, they didn't really 'change' her name. They just wrote it the way it was originally meant to be written.
In the end, it all comes down to a matter of personal preference. For example, when I speak aloud Aerith's name, I say Aeris, not Aerith. However, when I type, I use both interchangeably.
PsychoSephiroth00 Cid: Wheres the cussing hello usually every other word out of Cids mouth had something like this in it !*@^$&^$(&&@^$&$
Alas, if you can't have Disney in a game if your'e going to have someone swearing like a sailor in it. Sure, Cid did swear every other sentence in the original game (a friend of mine from Japan has confirmed that he's also quite the potty mouth in the Japanese version as well), but Final Fantasy VII is rated T for 'Teen,' and doesn't contain 'family-friendly' Disney characters in it. Disney has an image to keep up, like it or not, and if Cid was going to be in the game, he sure as heck wouldn't be allowed to swear that much, if at all. Kingdom Hearts is rated E for 'Everyone,' because if a parent sees Disney characters on a game case, they'll think it's good for the family. Cid's swearing isn't good for the family, so they'd have to cut that bit out. Besides that, Cid didn't play that much of a necessarily big role in Kingdom Hearts, as he only tended to your gummy ship needs.
PsychoSephiroth00 Sephiroth: I know they made him powerful and every thing but they made him look like a loser in tights and there is no way in hell that a 14 year old with a dinky little key could beat him I don't care what you say
Hmm... If I do recall, fighting Sephiroth wasn't in the original Japanese release... Yes, Sephiroth is indeed powerful, more so than Ansem at the end of the game. Again, the whole costume design thing is to fit the concepts of 'light' and 'darkness' in the game, and Sephiroth is definitely supposed to represent the 'darkness' inside people's hearts. Sephiroth has always worn tight clothing with a trenchcoat of sorts on top, so I honestly don't see what your problem with him wearing tight clothes is. Also, keep in mind that this isn't the 'real' Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, just a cameo. The only reason he's in Kingdom Hearts is fanservice. He's an insanely popular character among the Final Fantasy fans, so adding him to the game would be considered fun/nostalgic for many fans who play the game. The 'real' Sephiroth, the one we all know and truly love/hate, would never lose to Sora. However, this is a different Sephiroth, just as Kingdom Hearts has a different Squall, Yuffie, Aerith, Cid, and Cloud. The Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts didn't get JENOVA cells, Mako infusions, a mental breakdown, and didn't burn down Nibelheim. That's why he's so weak. xp
Seriously, though, I'm really looking forward to Kingdom Hearts II. Why, you ask? Well, aside from the fact that Cloud will be appearing in his Advent Children outfit (confirmed by recent magazine scans), Auron from FFX will also be present, and shall FIGHT SIDE BY SIDE WITH YOU IN COMBAT during a portion of the game. *does a happy dance* That, and there are many serious improvements in the game's combat system and whatnot. The worlds are going to be more expansive, with more Disney and Final Fantasy characters present. But that's besides the point...

Very nice Straw long but very nice none the less So what do you guys (I know this is somewhat of a dumb question) think will be cool about KHII? mine would be having Auron in the party and Sora's little HP/MP pic not looking like a girl (seriously the first time I played KH I thought Sora was a girl) but that of an actual dude (Nikolai you should show them your pic of what you think he'll look like as an adult)
