He had found in the back of Masaya's closet a dark hoodie. He pulled it on, pulled up the hood to hide his ears and headed out of house quickly. They were in need of a few things so that he could make dinner tonight, he wanted to learn how to cook human food better as his last few attempts had gone a bit awry. He had to replace what he had ruined and get more as well.

So he was given money and headed for the store, he had been given a map so that he could find the place, he was sure that he would be fine. Masaya had told him to keep his feet on the floor and keep his hood up. As long as he got home quickly then he would be fine.

So here he was, exploring the store in awe and getting the items on his list.

Her mission was harder than anticipated, Dango quickly realized. If she really wanted to find out what the humans were up to (and by humans, she mostly meant those pesky Mew Mews), she would have to be trusted by them. And to be trusted by them, she would have to fit in. To some extent, at least. Part of the task at hand sickened her, but she was also excited. This would be fascinating.

Of course, even fascinating tasks had to start out with grueling, boring research. Which brought her to a human store of some sort, late one afternoon. She had traded in her usual clothes for a slightly more conservative green dress, topping the outfit off with a wide-brimmed sunhat, both of which she swiped from another store. Mostly clothes there, and a few containers of colored powder and sickeningly sweet smelling liquid. At least this store was more tolerable. She stood in front of the produce aisle, eyes wide. That was indeed a sight to see.

Chimaki picked up a jar of... what was this? It was called jelly. He looked at his list, it was on there so that meant it must be something that he needed it. It was put in the basket he carried on his arm and then headed down the next aisle and stopped in his tracks as he looked down the aisle. He blinked a couple of times as he looked at the lady at the end.

She... there was a familiar about her. He tilted his head to the side then started forward towards her, slowly and cautiously. Had he seen her somewhere before? But where? He hadn't seen anyone aside from Masaya here before so... maybe it was from before he had gotten here?

Uh-oh... He turned his head to look towards the food on the shelves and waited to see if she was gonna look his way or continue on her way. If she went on he could follow after her and try to figure out what or who she was?

The colors were hypnotizing. Dango ran her hands over a tomato, then a bright orange pepper, then a yellow one. The rest of the shop had been boring, various packages of foodstuffs sealed away in plastic or aluminum, completely cut off from the outside world. It reminded her of herself in a way, and her comrades, stuck inside those awful orbs until they were ready. Hopefully she would have a different fate than the can marked "Spam."

A bit overwhelmed, she removed her hat and fanned herself with it. It wasn't hot at all, but the moving air refreshed her enough to continue. She set the plum she had been holding back with its mates and continued on her way. Time to start watching the humans. So far nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but she had to make sure.

Chimaki's eyes widened then he turned with the backet over his arm and he followed along after her, his curiousity was perking up. He wanted to see if he could get a better look at her. Maybe he would be able to figure out where he had seen her before? His eyes wened that much wider as she fanned herself with her hat, "Ah?" Wait a minute... was she...?

Eyes narrowed, Dango surveyed the shoppers. The old woman with the cane was deemed unthreatening, as was the little kid sitting upright in a shopping cart. Next her gaze fell on a boy, who didn't seem to be out of the ordinary- was he looking at her? Not looking, staring. He was staring at her. Quickly she turned and pulled the first thing off the shelf in front of her, using the cover to regain her composure. She liked doing being the watcher, not the watchee.

Her hands squeezed the loaf of bread she was holding as the truth came to her. The ears. Of course.

Dango quickly replaced the squashed bread, quickening her pace. He was probably just one of those annoying girl-watching idiots, but if he was by some chance one of those Mews, or someone working with them, she could have compromised her mission. She had to get away from him, and fast.

Chimaki gave a squeak. Oh no! She had seen him starring! That meant that she wasn't going to stay around was she? He could already tell by the way that she was acting that she was going to run. He looked around for a moment then quickly found a place to set down his basket and he followed after her, "Ah! Wait a second!" He called after the girl.

No, don't disapear yet his mind cried. He wanted to talk to her, see who she was, what she was. Was she part of the movement against Earth? He could ask of her how long before the fighting broke out couldn't she? Then he would be able to warn Masaya.

"Please Miss!"

She would only be seen as guiltier if she ran. All this time away from her kin had left her weak, prone to mistakes. Two since arriving at the store... if she made one more, she wouldn't be able to recover. What was that human saying she'd overheard? Three strikes and you're out? Dango shook her head. She may be down, but she wasn't out yet.

Taking a deep breath she turned on her heel. "I'm in a bit of a hurry," she cooed, putting on a fresh smile. "Can I help you?"

There. Then he'd see that she was just a nice girl, and hopefully leave her alone. And if not... her brain started planning for that situation, though she hoped the precaution wouldn't be needed.

Now that he had caught up his mind was racing as to how to ask her what was going on, about the situation. He didn't know where her alliances lay or if she were a danger to him. He gave her a bit of a smile, she seemed nice so maybe she could be trusted? At least enough?

"Ah... Your..." How to word this one, he looked up at her his eyes meeting her, his orange gaze locking with her, his tiger markings revealed now that she was so close to him, "Your not from around here are you?" He asked, a simple question that seemed to ask more then if she were new in town.

He knew. How much he knew remained to be seen, but it was obvious that he at least suspected something. So much for fitting in. Then again, he didn't seem to be doing much of that himself. His face was marked, something unusual and yet oddly familiar.

Her answer had to be somewhat honest or he'd never believe it, yet not reveal anything. "I'm still getting acclamated to my surroundings," she replied, brushing a strand of sky-blue hair back. Maybe that was suspect as well. "This town is very different from what I'm used to."

At least she was going to be honest about it, not going to lie to him and pretend that she had no clue what he was talking about. It made everything so much easier.

Chimaki gave a nod of his head in agreement, "Yes... a lot nicer then where I am from oringinally as well." He told her with a bit of a grin then looked towards where he had left his basket of groceries and then back to her, "I have to admit, your presence has me curious." He told her as he went to fetch his basket and scooped up another thing off a shelf that was on his list.

He was interested in this girl yes but he was also here for groceries, he couldn't forget that important mission.

Maybe if she simply talked with him awhile he'd leave her alone. His questions were getting more and more dubious, to the point where she wondered if he wasn't one of those Mew Mew people after all. If she didn't prove her innocence he might keep tailing her, and that wouldn't do. Not for someone who was supposed to be undercover.

"My job transferred me here." Dango eyed the basket; he was shopping? If that was his original goal then he might not be dangerous after all. Still, she couldn't afford to let her guard down. "It's quaint, isn't it?"

"I am rather enjoying it myself. I think I like the weather here the most." He told her as he moved over to get a bag of dehydrated fruit, best stuff he had ever tasted in his opinion, aside from maybe real still hydrated fruit, "Your job huh? What sort of stuff do you do?" He hoped that she could be able to help him out. He didn't like not having any idea what was going on. Especially when he knew what they were planning. It was like going into this all blind.

Nosy brat. If he kept this up she'd have to risk exposing herself in order to get away. A measure taken to avoid exposing herself. Dango sighed. This wasn't going well.

Then again, it was the first decent conversation she'd had in ages. That wasn't terrible.

"I deal with, ehm, research." That would do.

Research huh? That sounded almost promising. He nodded then gave her a smile, "I'm sorta on vacation at the moment myself." In the market for a new job if one would. After all it wasn't as if he were going back home and he rather enjoyed it there, "Pretty nice play to hang out if you can put up with all of the people." Not many of them were as good as the one that had picked him up and saved him. Then again he hadn't really got to meet many of them.

He walked over to get a couple other items, "You get to meet many people in your line of work?" Maybe she would see it too? That they weren't all the heartless monsters that they had been made out to be when they were being coaxed into the battles that were coming up? That they shouldn't all be wiped out. What about the good humans? The ones that had sense of pride in their home? Those that didnt' want to go around polluting and massacuring?
