Sitting on large twitted roots of a tree, nested a young koshka. In his hands, he played an obscure instrument that looked like a mix of of a lute and.. something otherworldly. Though its appearance was crude and confusing, he played it like there was no tomorrow. Some of the most beautiful acoustic sounds were played from this... instrument. A hood was pulled over his head with two erect ears pushing on the fabric on top. It made a bridge like appearance in the fabric from one ear to the other. Red hair dangled in front of his face, over one eye and strands, like tiny rivers, over the rest of his framed face. His eyes were the most beautiful shade of green. A mix of lime and emerald. Sharp, Piercing, and mesmerizing. Lovely.
He was scruffy looking, though. Draped in what looked like old rags with a bright yellow-orange corset and yellow boots. They stood out along with his hair. Stood out from the dull browns and greys of his tattered, ripped, holed cloaks.
His voice... his music... filled the air. There were no words. None you could hear. But you felt them. Felt them in the notes his fingers created with so much soul it could have created another living person.
His tail came to life and twisted behind him. "Hm. That doesn't seem right." he said in a pleasantly deep voice. He plucked for the note again and the string snapped. It curled up away from where it was pegged down into the head of the instrument. It snapped with a doingk! and curled in an blink. He laughed. "Oh my. I guess I should go take a walk to Vodenska to get a replacement. The birds would get lonely and the squirrels will have no music to dance to." He said, talking to himself. Or the trees. Or every living thing around him. He talked aloud often. He said it helped him think. "It's about time I visit."
He stood on his root and hopped off into the grass. Vodenska was a good mile away. It would be a lonely walk without his song to company him and the animals he passed. He tucked the now injured instrument under an arm and started to hum on his way to the nearest city.
But what's a mile when the music would return indefinitely!

Konoe was use to traveling, but there was times he didn’t like it. Walking for ages, even the scenery, which was first would be awe-inspiring, would loose it’s charm and become monotonous. Tree. Tree. Bush. Fallen log. Tree.
He had a map, but by now, he was on a well-traveled path and was glad for it. There was nothing worse than trying to navigate in the deep woods with no point of reference and no place to suggest you were even moving towards civilization. Still, his hopes always were high. As usual, he was looking for a good meal, a bit of rest, a job at the nearest city to help refill his depleted purse, and information.
Yawning, he brought his cape in closer. Still a bit nipping this early in the morning. He hoped he'd see a road sign soon.

Syui hummed a bright tune between closed lips. His eyes looked up and observed the canopy of leaves above. So many different types of birds. And sounds. It was calming for him. Like the worlds own music. He walked his own path between knotted trees and moss covered rocks. He knew he'd soon come to a worn dirt path that led to Vodenska soon enough. But for now, he walked through the dewy grass.
After a few minutes of walking and observing the forest, he came to the dirt path. The forest, even though he walked it often, was something that would never get boring to look at. It was always changing. The dirt path was pact. Very few rocks lay on it. Dying leaves, golds, browns, reds, covered it. It looked like a magic road of leaves with large spots of rich brown between them. He walked on the leaves, but they didn't crunch. Not yet. It wasn't dry enough, and it was only recent the trees started to shed. He was glad. He walked around a shoulder in the road and saw another traveler. He had a cloak thrown over his head, like his own. Smiling, he quickened his pace to catch up to him, but keep his distance for safe measures.
"Hello." he said simply, slowly inching in his walk beside him.
