I am the righteous warrior;
Yet I walk though the blood of the innocent.
I will win, even if I must walk on a few people in order to do so.

I am the calm ocean;
Though I rip through vessels of wandering travelers.
Don’t underestimate my influence.

I am the quiet desert;
Yet no matter how loud you scream, no one will hear it.
Who are they to seek salvation?

I am the life-giving sun;
Though my strength is more than enough to destroy it all.
Ask Icarus if you don’t believe me.

I am the apitamy of man;
Yet, even in perfection, lies a dreadful flaw.
Egotism is my middle name.

Side Notes: Yes, I realize that this seems all over the place, but that’s only because it is. I was reading up on Oscar Wilde, and the quote: “Every Saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.” popped up. It pointed out how before a saint was ever considered a saint, they probably did something in the past that led them to the “straight-and-narrow” path; this leads us into thinking that if even someone as “pure” as a saint can do a complete 180, why can’t some sinner do the same for their life? It was this line that inspired me to write about how everything has another persona, no matter how one-sided it usually seems.
