Sen. Barack Obama announced today that he has picked his VP (but he will not release the name) and has said that all of his supporters will receive a message upon it's release Sometime before Saterday: see here
Now as for McCain (and I think it's already been chosen) He said he will release who he has picked on Sunday.
Now this could go one of two ways. Obama Picking his first could over-shadow when McCain announced the same thing a day later, or McCain is hoping to drive Obama's VP spotlight to his VP so Obama gets less air time.

I'm one of the ones who'll be getting the email from him when he announces it. Not sure if he's going to other sources first but I'll let you guys know.

I hope he picks Hilary, that'll unite most of the left.

But not the best either. Biden's a bit of a gaff machine and is best known for plagiarism amoung people old enough to remember the scandal. I get that he was looking for someone with foreign policy credentials, but it's hard to get excited about a man mostly known for stealing the words of others.
