The first one I written, that was an original story, was Ninja Academy. It was originally for Extra Credit in 8th grade. I got the maximum points for it, and then it was soon a full story, and had four chapters written for it. I hope you like it. And currently is being corrected by my beta reader, so I'll be able to post it on fictionpress.com where I post my poems and stories. So far only one of the chapters are beta'd and three of four chapters are typed up. Here's Ninja Academy: Chapter One Today is the first day of another year at Rune High. But, this high school isn’t a normal one like other schools. Actually, it’s a Magical/Martial Arts and Ninja Academy. Many great and famous ninja clans have had descendents go to this school. Including my ancestors and parents. My name is Sakura Meioh of the Shinjutsu Phoenix Clan. I am a student of the ninja part of the school, called Ninja Academy, student twenty-one of class 2-A. The other part of the school doesn’t really have a name. So, it’s initialed K.K.T.D.S.M.A, that name stands for: Kendo, Karate, Tai Kwon Do, Darks Arts, Shinjitsu/ Samurai, Magic and Archery. Our clubs include other activities like The Cartooning Club, Anime club, Basketball, Soccer, Hockey, The Photography Club, The Movie Club and Fiction Writers club. Also, our P.E is slightly different being that our school has to keep us in the fittest of conditions, instead of climbing ropes, track, dancing and doing sports; we spar and gain abilities depending on our Spiritual Aura. The boys never give me a problem. Even though some are fourth years they are still weak. But the girls’ team, hmm, how can I put it? Well let’s just say: they kick butt! They give me a real match, a true fight between two honorable, equal opponents. Any ways, I am an idol to both first, second, third and fourth years. Even though, I’m a third year, all the girls admire me. But, most want to fight me. They are jealous of my status and my skills. Well, here I am at the front door of the school. Soon, I will enter a gate behind that door. It will separate the ninja’s from the rest of the school, until second period. Second period is when everyone will meet again and share the same class. As I was standing there in front of the gate; dreading what challenges will come to me today, a tall, long black haired Asian spotted me in the crowd. She started running towards me, waving her arms above her head. Obviously she was trying to get my attention, which wasn’t working, and I was deep in thought. “Hey, Sakura! What’s up?” she asked as she reached me. “Hey, Kaede,” I said in a calm voice. Kaede Mizaki, number twenty of class 2-A. Kaede is my ninja friend and is like my sensei. She is the one who taught me stealth and some other ninja techniques. Kaede is a ninja, like me. She is really mature, when it comes to giving advice. Kaede is in Basketball, archery, The Kenpo Club, Kendo and Art Club. She is also a Student-Class Representative. We call her "rep-san". “…akura? Sakura, are you listening to me?!” “Of course!” I lied, then ashamed I admitted “No, sorry.” “No problem, Sakura-chan. Let’s head to class, shall we?” “Right.” Later in class, I was surrounded by Girl Punks, who really took the Academy seriously and didn’t believe I deserved my status, while the teacher wasn’t around. “Why did I even bother to show up in class?” I murmured to myself, “You girls are wasting my time.” "I'll show you 'wasting time'..." the Girl Punks leader retorted as she faced me and tensed up, aiming a solid punch at my head. <….To be continued…> Authors Notes: Sensei: A teacher or mentor. Used as a form of address for such a person. In Japanese: teacher, master. Chan: It is an informal version of san used to address children and female family members. It may also be used towards animals, lovers, intimate friends, and people whom one has known since childhood. Chan continues to be used as a term of endearment, especially for girls, into adulthood. "Pet names" are often made by attaching chan to a truncated stem of a name. This implies even greater intimacy than simply attaching it to the full name. So for example, a pet rabbit (Usagi) might be called Usa-chan rather than Usagi-chan. Similarly, Chan is sometimes used to form pet names for celebrities. I would also like to thank one of my beat readers, Jack Jealousy, for correcting and helping me with Ninja Academy Chapter One. She really inspires me to do my best. And, again, thank you, Jack Jealousy. Well, I hope you liked the story so far Gaians, please comment.

Chapter Two
The Ringleader was about to punch me, but I stopped her fist with the palm of my hand. Having done that, she was shocked then turned angry. Then, she did the same thing with her other fist. Of course, again, I blocked that fist with my other palm. Then I asked, calm and coldly, “What is your name? Now, I can’t keep calling you Ringleader, can I?”
“I suppose not,” she replied, “My name is Jessica Reikali, number twenty-nine of class 2-B. I’m a foreigner from Italy, age seventeen.”
“Hmph…interesting. Miss Reikali, was it? Well, you’re an interesting opponent. I think you’re a loyal kind of person, correct? You would make a great ally as well as a friend.” Right then, Jessica wasn’t sure whether to be furious, that I had got to the core of her personality; without fail. Or be joyed that I found her true self, unlike her fans.
She put both fists down, then asked “Mind if I sit here and talk to you?” she asked as she pulled out a chair.
“Not at all,” I replied with a sly smile, “But, could you get rid of your groupies, please? If we can truly talk I’d rather not get interrupted by, well, um your…friends (‘groupies’).” Many of the girls retorted. Getting P.O.ed, they all tried making a comeback insult. And they all shouted their complaints. Just the, Miss Reikali hushed them with a hand signal.
“You heard her. You must leave us alone,” replied Reikali simply.
“But, Miss Jessica…” started a girl.
“No buts, Miss Jenil,” interrupted Jessica, with a hand signal. Jenil was obviously shocked, that her idol was so cold to her just then. She must’ve also been hurt; because she looked like she was gonna cry.
“V…v…very well…Miss Jessica. We…-we shall…leave,” Jenil choked and croaked out, “C’mon, you heard the leader! Let’s go! ” Jenil shouted sadly to the rest of the girls. Once they left, the room was dead silent. ‘So should I be the first to break the silence,’ I wondered to myself.
Just then, a clank broke me from my thoughts. Jessica brought out two tea sets from her backpack. She then started making green tea.
“Do you want some green tea, Miss Meioh? I could pour you some if you want,” Jessica replied in a calm, soft and unemotional voice. “Yes please,” I replied happily with a sly grin.
“What is with the sly grin, Miss Sakura...?”
“Please stop calling me ‘Miss’,” I asked as I shyly grabbed her hand.
“Um, why are you holding my hand?” she desperately asked as she blushed. It was because she’s a samurai girl and she avoids any physical affection. One time she said, “There’s no room for love on my battlefield.”
Then, I politely answered, jokingly as I grinned, “Because you’re cute!”
“Um…th-thanks,” she stuttered as I let go of her hand and smiled warmly at her. Jessica then went back to a business-like state, again.
“Anyways, I heard your clan is very famous. But, recently, you are the only one left of your family, correct?” she asked.
“Hai! Wait, no! But, it doesn’t matter much because I still have my sister,” I replied. She must’ve ignored the sister part because the next thing she said was odd.
“It doesn’t matter, unless you want to stay alive. Or unless, you want to protect the ones you hold dear to your heart. That you have left, that is,” Jessica added quietly.
‘Stay alive? Protect the ones I hold dear?’ I thought suspiciously.
“Are you saying someone’s after me and my friends? Are they trying to kill them? Why?! Why are they…?”
“After you?” Jessica finished, “Well, you are the last of your powerful clan.”
“But, my sister…,” I started, only to be struck down by a terrifying thought, ‘Is she trying to say….? No. She can’t be telling me my sister is….’
“Are you saying my sister is dead?”
“Yes. I am sorry for your loss. But, as I said, you are the only one left of your clan,” Jessica stated as she finished her tea. As for me, mine was cold and hadn’t been touched.
“How? How did this happen?! How did my sister die?!” I asked, shakingly.
“I am surprised you didn’t know. They just found the body today, and it looked ten years old, pretty bad. The committee fixed her up a bit and held a funeral first period on the other, non-ninja, half. And they did it again fifth period,” she said thoughtfully.
“Why was I never informed about the funeral?” I asked grimly.
“Well, I guess nobody wanted you to fight only for revenge. And to sacrifice your heart to evil darkness would be a sin.”
“Sis-….sis-…..si-… (hic). Sister! Big Sister! (sob) Nooo!!!!! Oh sis- sister (hic) Why? Why?! Why did you leave me?! ( Waaaaaaa!!!!) (hic)” My sight started to get hazy and fuzzy. I pounded my head on the table, then I started to lose balance and landed in a crouch position on the floor. Jessica stood from her chair and came over to me. She then let me cry on her shoulder for a while.
“Hold yourself together, Miss Meioh,” She said as I continued to cry. I was unaware that someone was presently watching us, but I had a hunch.
“Alright, let’s get you in a standing position, Miss Sakura,” Jessica said as she brought me in an upright position. I, then, stopped crying but clenched my fists and teeth. Then as Jessica was walking away, my head throbbed and started to spin. So many questions. All unanswered. My body was burning. I was sooo dizzy. I just wanted to sleep for eternity.
“I’m…sooo….hot….and...dizzy,” I moaned as I panted. Then, I faintedly fell over. Jessica then turned around as she heard a loud ‘Thump’ sound.
“Oh no, Sakura! Miss Meioh are you ok?” she asked as she ran towards me. By then, I already passed out.
Jessica then asked, “Miss Janeyll, please come out of the shadows, and please come and assist me.”
“Of course,” she said in a respectful tone. Mana Janeyll, number twenty-eight of class 2-A. She is an Indonesian foreigner. Mana is a professional assassin, a part-time shrine maiden and is well taught at martial arts and the ninja way. She’s the conservative type.
As they got me up off the floor and walked me towards the hall, Mana asked, “Do you think she is sick, Miss Reikali?”
“I’ll check. Hmm…a big temperature.”
“Do you think it was caused by stress, or by overwhelming info?” Manna asked.
“Perhaps,” bluntly, grimly stated Jessica.
“Let’s get her home,” Mana said.
“We don’t know where she lives. Hmm.., but Kaede of 2-A does. Let’s find her, shall we?”
“Yes,” replied Mana.
Later, Mana and Jessica put me in an empty desk; making sure I was in a comfortable position, with Mana’s coat as a pillow, while they talked to Kaede. Kaede found out about my sisters’ death long ago.
“Then, WHY IN THE WORLD DIDN’T YOU TELL HER?!,” shouted Jessica.
“Because she wasn’t ready to know yet,” calmly stated Kaede.
“How do you know?,” asked a calm and enraged Mana.
“ Because Kristine died around the time when Sakura came to Tokyo. She was really gloomy and had so much anger built in her, for she had seen her family die before her eyes. She was then told by Kristine to runaway to Tokyo. I guess when Sakura got to the airport Kristine was murdered. Then Sakura went to Kyoto for five years, waiting. That is where I met her and became friends. I did a check on her, and that is how I found out. So, I didn’t want to tell her, she’d get depressed. Sakura would always tell me what her sister was like. That’d make me feel guilty. She also told me about the night of Terror’s Rain, of Blood-filled Deaths. And it was the only sugarcoated story,” stated Kaede.
“Wow. I didn’t know. I am so sorry for being enraged and hitting you with insults earlier, Miss Kaede,” apologized Jessica.
“Yes, we are sorry, Miss Kaede-san,” agreed Mana.
“I understand, no need to apologize,” explained Kaede. On the far end of the room where I leaned in a desk, I was burning hot, my face flushed. And I felt like I was dying inside…..again. Just like when I heard my sisters’ prayer.
On The Next Chapter of Ninja Academy:
A look inside Sakura’s dreams and mind reveal her past, and the death of her family. And how her sister really died. And what is ‘Night of Terror’s Rain, of Blood-filled Deaths?’ Is it just a name Sakura came up with to describe that day, or the name of the clan that murdered her family? And what about her sisters’ prayer? Was Sakura actually there to witness the death of her sister? Find out when you read Chapter Three of Ninja Academy.
A/N :San- a term of respect in Japanese for their elders, or acquaintances. And thank you again to my Beta Reader, Jack Jealousy, and my readers. Please review. Until next time, Ja ne

Chapter Three
I was in a cold sweat and moaning in pain and discomfort. By then, I was having a nightmare about my sister. I was seven.
We saw our house burning from the forest, where we were training. Heads of our family was pinned to the door. . “Oh my God! Sister our family….are they...?” I asked in tears, yielding to stare at the fire.
“Yes. Mother and Father are surely dead, along with the rest of the family. We are the only ones left,” explained Kristine.
“Oh no! I left our notes of our enemies and our family’s weaknesses. I’ll teleport in. Stay here, Sakura. Don’t worry about me.”
“Hurry Onee-sama, the enemies are still here,” I told Kristine.
“Of course!” And with that she was gone. Then she came back without the book and with a worried expression pasted on her face.
“Sakura, you must leave. Now go.”
“No! Not without you! You’ll die without my help! Please, sister come with me!” I pleaded.
“No, I won’t die I promise. And if I do, at least you will live and I shall be at peace,” she stated. I stood there defiance and tears shown in my eyes. We were standing at the edge of a cliff that lead to a five hour, away, airport entry. So she decided to push me away.
“I’m sorry Sakura Melina Meioh,” she said regretfully. I started to shout, “No, Sister! Kristine! Don’t do this!” as I started to fall. Then two shadows came up behind her and stabbed her in the back. Unfortunately, I saw her die and heard her plea to God.
“Please, protect my little sister. I love her. Goodbye little Sakura.” I cried at that and I kept silent, so the assassins wouldn’t see me.
In my sleep I cried and moaned, “Sis…ter. Sister don’t leave! Come back! Sister! Sisterrr!!!”
When I was eight I was an orphan, and clothed in dirty rags. They were also torn. I lived in a box, in the alley of a bad part of the city. Who knew there were so many orphans in Kyoto. The last part I saw before I woke up was Kaede and her sister.
“Mmm…?” I moaned as I opened my eyes partly.
“She’s awake! Thank Goddess,” exclaimed Miss Reikali as she came over to check my temperature. Soon, I noticed I was in a bed. This must be my home we are at.
“Miss Meioh, how do you feel?” asked Mana.
“Better, thank you. You must be Mana Jeneyll, of class 2-A, class number twenty-eight. I am sorry for troubling you Miss Mana, Miss Reikali, and Kaede-chan. Thank you for helping me get better,” I then started getting out of bed and heading towards the door. Mana then stepped in front of me, guarding the door. Soon, Kaede and Jessica joined in. They stood there glaring at me. Then Mana stared at me and smiled at me understandably.
“What did you have a nightmare about?” she asked briskly and almost immediately I replied, “It was about my past with my sisters’ death involved,” I paused for a second before I continued, “I guess I knew all along. My mind blocked it out and replaced it with my sister saying she’d meet me in Kyoto or Tokyo. I caused myself so much grief in those years.”
“I was so….stup..id. Stupid!” I cried. Kaede, then, gave me a reassuring hug.
“I’m sorry, I’m being stupid. Excuse me,” I said as I passed Mana and out into the hallway.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” asked Jessica worriedly.
“Yes. I am fine,” I grimly lied. I then walked out the door, and went to the training area, to collect my thoughts.
“Do you really think she’ll be okay, Miss Reikali?”
“I don’t know Mana”
“If she’s not I’ll take care of her,” reassured Kaede, to both of her classmates, with a smile.
“Hmmm. Alright,” both Mana and Jessica said grimly in unison.
After they left, Kaede started to head up where I went. When I went towards the door, I made a mark on the wall. Meaning, I slammed my fist into the wall and made a hole. As soon as Kaede saw the hole I made earlier, she started to worry more ‘bout me.
‘Sakura, please, don’t do anything you might regret,’ pleadingly thought Kaede. Meanwhile, I was in the room where I practiced all my ninja skills and sparring matches. I call this the Training Room or Training Area. At one point, when I first saw this room, Kaede and I called this Mt. Training Area. We laughed our heads off. It took at least one hour or two, to collect ourselves. ‘Good times, they were. Before memories started returning,’ I thought sadly. I smiled sadly at that thought. The Training Room is forty-five or fifty feet long. On the right side of the room, is a traditional Japanese, paper screen, sliding door.
The floor is wooden and in the center is a huge, green-forest, mat. The Training Room is also separate from the rest of the house, so it’s way bigger than any room. Also in the Training Room, we have sparring gear, weapons (locked when not used) and an Aid Kit. Outside the Training Room (to the right) is an outside area. It has a meditation area near the lake, Mountains, Caves near the foot of the Mountain and a ground area. The length is about one thousand square feet. In the closet I took out a tea cup and in a hidden kitchen I took out some tea (herbal green). The hidden kitchen is located under the mat. Under the mat is a hidden staircase that leads to a huge room; the hidden kitchen. It could also be used as a safehouse. Kaede nor anybody else knows about this.
I shall never tell them, unless some big dangerous disaster is coming. After the tea was made, I went back upstairs, shutting and locking that passage way and covered it again; on my way. Then, I opened the sliding paper door and headed outside. Outside the door, beside the wall, was a nice table and a mat to sit on.
“Aaah. Nice weather. Spring has truly come. And the Cherry Blossoms prove it.”
“Sakura! Where are you!” shouted Kaede. Kaede soon came to the Training Room. Since she did not see me sparring, she went outside.
“Sakura…where is Sakura?” she mumbled.
“Aha!” she shouted as she found me drinking tea, “Thank goodness.” Soon, she sat next to me.
“You thought I was going to go suicide on you, didn’t you?” I asked coldly, without even looking at her.
“Well, don’t worry. I’d never be that stupid,” I said as she didn’t reply.
“I….well, I understand how you feel.”
“When you told me about yourself?” I asked.
“Yes.”
A/N: Well, there’s a cliff hanger for you. So what does Kaede mean how she understands how Sakura feels? What happened in Kaede’s past? Was her family killed too? Maybe by the same people? And how did Kaede find Sakura, truly? Well, find out in the Fourth Chapter of Ninja Academy. And don’t forget to Read and Review, because I love hearing from all of you. I would also like to thank my Beta-Reader, Jack Jealousy, for editing all my writing so far.
Onee-sama: It translates as big sister, in English. It is a respectful term used for older sisters, and can be easily confused with big brother if misspelled.
Chapter Four Preview: We get a look inside Kaede’s mind as we look into her past as she was only eight years old, and who in her family died. And a special diary, the only thing left Kaede has to remember her by. Also, how Kaede and Sakura meet for the first time and her sister’s lover. So stay tuned and find out the past of Kaede and her life. Until then, Ja ne!

This is a character poem of Sakura. It does contain chapter two spoilers, so please read chapter two before you read this poem.
Sakura Meioh- Ninja Poem
Ninja schools Ninja students Passions fire in all sparring matches Jokes between friends Laughing like there was no tomorrow In your mind a hazy memory A memory you replaced with a happier theme Waiting Just waiting for your sister The truth found you You get stressed out, causing you to get a high fever You passed out for at least five hours A nightmare finds you in your state of mind But what makes it worse is that it’s the truth Your sister is dead and in the back of your mind you always knew You’ve always knew, but it was too much stress on your mind So you replaced it in your sleep right after she died You know now, and you think you were stupid So dumb So sad It hurts, knowing the truth Having it told to you upfront You can’t handle it And you die a little inside, again Just like you were dying inside when you saw your family murdered I am Sakura Meioh The last of my clan The last of my powerful clan
