Why do the Demos have to talk about guns being bad?
i've owned guns my whole life and if they take away guns then people will kill each other with knives or home made guns.
Guns don't kill people dads with hot daughters kill people. xD
I'm 14 and i know that a gun is the best way to protect yourself and if somebody brake into my house i got something for them :]

While guns are the best way to protect yourself, in MD, there's no self-defense law, so if you kill someone before they kill you, you're going to jail. sad
Anyways, my boyfriend loves guns a whole lot and he owns a Ruger rifle and an M1-Carbine. He would probably go on a rampage if guns were banned. Asides, banning guns isn't going to deter crime, criminals will just get guns illegally.

I think guns are good for self defense and a means to protect oneself. People use them in a bad way(gangs, ect.). I don't know how you would lower criminal rates but I don't think banning guns would be a good idea...it would be like what AS said. Criminals would get guns illegally and they would use them on the people that aren't allowed to own guns...also that's just strengthening the military by making it's citizens give up their means of protection(I know the police and army are protecting us and I love and respect them, I'm just saying if some how America becomes over run with Socialists, Communists, or whatever, we're going to be in some hot water.
Oh, by the way...you know how the third option for the poll says-"Gods, Guns and Guitars"? Well I was wondering, did you get that off the cover of the Rolling Stones magazine? He heh, that sounds random but the truth is that that magazine was laying on my bed and the front cover is about the Jonas Brothers and the quote under their name says "God, Girls and Guitars!" rofl Maybe it's just a coincidence, lol

but i'm more into heavyer stuff

Oh and I like almost all types of music....well, not rap, hiphop, acid rock or emo stuff. I like Alternative, Rock, Pop, JPop, Country Pop, Christian music, Folk, New Age, Big Band, ect. but my favorites are the first three I mentioned^^

There is a law that if someone breaks into your house you have to retreat. The law will not protect you if you try to defend your home. Ann in one state, I believe Florida but I'm not sure they passed a something that you can defend yourself if someone breaks into your home. Even if they are leaving you can whip out your gun and put a bullet in in the back of their head and you will be protected.
I'm sure most of you are familiar with a mall shooting in Texas I believe (Sorry I don't know to many details about the where and whens) Some one walked into a "Gun-Free" mall and shot and killed five people. Now mind you no one not even the security guard is supposed to have a gun. Texas of all places people can bring guns where ever they want. The media made it sound like no one could of defended themselves. I heard a story by a person who lives nearby the mall and he said that he carries his gun everywhere but he always knows he can never bring it to that mall. He also say if he did have his gun on him he could of nailed the guy before he killed all those people. The media said nothing about this.
So yes guns are bad, and also good. Its debatable.

Man am I proud to live in Texas.
Texas has a law to where if someone breaks in to your house and you do not know them you can kill them. Just like a long time ago Hilary wanted to ban violent video games. Of course that never passed for many reason's behind it. But thus, if video games were taken away teenagers around the country would band together and destroy everything in there path.
Those type of things neither republicans or democrats should touch on, especially guns due to the fact that it can help protect you.

Notice that in any recent war we have been in no country has dared to try infiltrate and occupy any part of our country, why, we the people are armed, they know it would be a suicide mission for anyone they sent in. Now, remove the factor of having guns in the populace, we would have no way of defense for the majority of the populace or the nation.

I'm an avid hunter, and since I was 13, I've owned 17 guns. Lmfao.
You can call me a redneck, but I love target shooting, and hunting.
Its bad when I have a gun case in my room, in the closet in my living room, and I have a .270 sitting in my laundry room cus deer season kicks up soon. Ahahah.

In Idaho, we dont even have to hesitate to shoot someone that breaks into our homes, hell if you live on a farm, and you catch someone stealin any part of your live stock, if you grab them you can hang them on the tree in front of your house by noose and no one will care. Its aloud here.

The reason the second amendment was made was basically so people can overthrow their governments if things get out of hand. If guns were made illegal, democracy would crumble. I don't think guns are bad at all, just the wrong people can get their hands on them.
If guns were illegal, the bad people would still get them, simple as that.
