Warmest welcome, my friends, to the Galotte Charlen Roleplaying guild.
My name is Kitty, and I shall be one of your hostesses here in our group. (yes, I have a male avatar, I apologize if this becomes confusing for some reason -_-') This guild is a place to play and chat and just generally have fun. It's about RolePlayers meeting other RolePlayers and creating wonderful stories together.
But of course, we have some things to attend to. This includes, unfortunately, that rules must be lain out for everyone to follow.
Guild Rules
1. Respect the guild crew as well as every single member involved. Please, no flaming, name calling, or petty bickering. If an issue arises, deal with it in a civilized manner and/or ask for help from the owners in coming to a solution.
2. Please do your best to be literate. Everyone makes mistakes and some grammar issues are more difficult to catch than others, but make the attempt. Skim through your posts after you've written but before you send them if you have to, to catch any minor typos you might have missed while typing. Also, this means that posts need to be a decent length. I won't say they all have to be at least ten lines, but do post no less than three line posts.
3. No cybering. No godmodding/auto-hitting.
4. Don't advertise. This is our space. If a member of the group specifically asks you for information regarding another guild or group or whatever, than contact that person via PM rather than here in the guild.
5. Follow the rules set forth by the creator of each individual game. This is important. There are basic rules set forth here in these rules, but other than that, people can designate more thorough rules for their games.
6. Don't join a game unless you plan to participate. Far too often are games started and then die off almost immediately because someone posts several times and then never appears again after that first day.
7. Once again... Please respect -all- of your fellow gaians
8. Always remember to follow the TOS.
9. Minimal swearing please. The occasional cuss word can be overlooked but make an attempt not to be vulgar.
10. Offenders of these rules-- depending on severity-- will either receive a warning or be immediately banned. If warnings are ignored and improper conduct continues, than banning will commence.
And now, some additional rules (don't kill me! ><) in regards to creating games here in the guild.
Game Creation
1. Make sure that you set up your own rules for your game if you have any additions to make, but your rules do -not- go over our rules. Individual games -must- abide by the previously established guild rules.
2. Create your games within the main forum but make sure to note what type of game it is. Fantasy. Sci-fi. Vampire/werewolf modern. Zombie survival. Whatever. Just give some indication to attract those interested.
3. If any individual game does not follow the rules of either our guild or the Gaia ToS, than that game will either be immediately deleted or receive a warning based on the severity of it's deviation. If a warning is issued and appropriate changes are not made, than it will be deleted.
4. Try not to create tons of games in the guild that are practically the same. I'm alright with cliches but we don't need three vamp/were ancient war in modern day games or generic high school romance games or... whatever. They're fun to play in, but only one is necessary in the guild at any given point in time. Otherwise, you're just spreading players thin and they'll each be that much more likely to fail.
Alright chickadees, that's all I can think of for now, but another thing to keep in mind is that we as the owners of this guild have full right to add, delete, or modify any rules as we see fit in the near or far future.
