Damn. For a guild about The Office, a comedy, you (owners of the Guild) are pretty high strung. Locking my topic, talking all serious-like. Chill.... rolleyes If you kick me, I'm already in another Office guild where the owner is a bit.. less..high strung, I guess. Damn....

Believe me, we're not high strung, we just want to keep an orderly place. One of the main rules of the guild is to not make duplicate threads. This rule is stated in quite a few places around this guild. If there are 5 threads on the same topic it both clutters up the guild and takes away from everyone being in one spot to share/create conversation. So the goal here is to keep things in one spot. A quotes thread had already been opened up and was only 15 topics down from the first post so it wasn't buried or anything.
Sometimes people skip over rules, sometimes they break them. When this happens we just correct it. It's really no harm done and we're not trying to be high strung. I lock up topics or move posts and simply explain why as quick as possible. I'm not rude but I'm also not going to add a ton of smilies and positive words to make a super happy post. It's just simple business and everyone on Gaia usually makes a misstep or two and gets a topic locked, a topic moved, a topic deleted, etc.
In the meanwhile, just be sure to read the rules and you should be fine. Everything is categorized pretty well and if you have any questions on where to put things feel free to contact me.
Also, I'm placing this in the Chatterbox since it's got nothing to do with Office discussion. Sorry!

I definitely would not take your topic getting locked personally. As Evan said it happens all the time- I just got one of my topics moved yesterday by a site moderator. The message they sent me was very to-the-point and all business-like. It wasn't a big deal, I just went on with my day. 3nodding

I'm not calling you all high-strung per se. I'm just saying, if I met you in the Towns or anything, I would not of guessed you watch The Office. Far, far, far, from it. Let alone make a whole Guild of it.

^Don't let one incident fool you. I'm a fun and silly kind of guy. I guess there are just some differences sometimes with my age (I am a tad older than your average Gaian, I'm 26). So something that is not a big deal to me may be to another person, and I'm really sorry. I'm not a stuffy a**, trust me.
