Discuss all things Gaia related. Occasionally people come up with good ideas, so I want to see what yours are. Who knows, maybe our ragged little band could even get a petition going and see some real change.

Well, I've heard some rumors pertaining to guilds. First of all they say they're working on new uses for funds including, paying crew, buying guild halls in towns, and fees for mass PMings. I don't know if any of these are true. What I would like to see is an add on in the member list like the one above our posts that tells if we're online, gives the option to PM and so forth.
As for gaia as a whole. I just want to see them get the item organization fixed already. The whole normalization thing didn't seem to do a whole lot of good. In fact it caused more problems than it solved. I don't understand why they can't just take it offline until they fix the kinks. Anyway, that's my pet peev at the moment.

As a guild leader of a guild that is less then active..... i could really use that mass pm feature to gain... more.... guild loyalty... and i am so glad that they took my advice... i suggested it, and had a forum dedicated to it...

Its been suggested several times. I heard that there might be some developments by October, but I honestly doubt it. They would have to do a great deal of overhauling for it to happen.

I agree about the mass PMing, being a guild captain as well. It would make Lunar's job of PMing members so much easier over in OtherWorld.
And it'd be about damn time that we can use the funds for something other than forums.
Personally, I think they need to stop redesigning the site layout and work on other more important things. And yes, the normalization SUCKS. I was trying to reorganize my own inventory. Ugh. I hate that our equipped items don't show up and that game items are showing as equipped.

I've never seen a mass PM from otherworld......
And I agree about the gold. I think we're getting close. I have a feeling that's what the "broadcasts" in the guild settings are about. Just my theory though.
Those are all reasons it sucks.
I think it would be cool if our avis were a lil more 3D, but it'll never happen. And I'd rather see them fix what's already messed up.

You're a frequent poster! We only have them sent out to people who join and never post or have so few posts after being with OtherWorld for more than a few months. We started keeping better track of this in our crew forum, including keeping a list of when new members join so that they get a fair chance before we harass a response from them xd

i also read some suggestions that when you start a guild you should also get a guild house in the towns... so that we we can go to the towns to have guild meeting/ parties... i thought that was a cool idea.. which would allow for more use of guild funds... like setting up the room, and expanding the size of the guild.... or adding different stories....

I've heard the same. Currently I don't know for sure that there are any plans for that. In the meantime I'm going to set my house up to be used as a guild house. I'm hoping that we'll be able to have parties where you guys can bring your friends and they can see how awesome our guild is. I would bring my friends, but I've already invited most of them to the guild. (I keep a very exclusive friendslist)

I was at the Gaia panel at FanExpo. The item normalization issues are still being worked on, but they are doing their best. I got the impression that most of the staff are working on zOMG at the moment. Not something I'm sure I agree with, but I'm sure it will be awesome.
And tend to like the layout changes. I really like this latest one in fact. It makes much more sense.

I don't really pay too much attention to what's going to be there in the future, but things like knowing who is on in the guild without having to friend them all would be cool, or have like a guild game list, saying that these people are in the games so you can go find them and hang out... Fixing problems with things like item normalization would be nice though...

I agree that not so many should be working on zOMG. I just don't care nearly as much about it as I do the item problems. I do like the new layout though.
I remember the first time gaia changed. Like ever. Everybody freaked out, but in a week the changes ended up being like second nature. Good greif I'm an old gaian.

Yeah, everyone seems to complain about changes for the first week until they are used to them. Then they love them until they change it again. Rise, wash, repeat. sweatdrop
Something I learned at the panel which I thought was interesting was with the evolving items (maybe I'm just out of the loop). One artist is given an evolving item and has full artistic control over how it evolves and how long it will evolve for. I thought that was pretty nifty, even though I refuse to own one...

That explains a lot about how they can all be so different.
I'm trying to post all the stuff to vote, but my bf is currently talking my ear off.

that does explain it, especially with how the alruna's rose has a TON of different stuff, and yet some don't have much of an evolution at all
