During Threadfall, moderators will make posts that say something along the lines of:
In this post, the moderator will roll three 6-sided dice. The results of the rolls determine what happens next.
Results:
First roll (Hit/Miss)
1 - Miss
2 - Miss
3 - Miss
4 - Miss
5 - Hit
6 - Hit
Second roll (Victim)
1 - Rider
2 - Rider
3 - Dragon
4 - Dragon
5 - Both
6 - Both
Third roll (Extent of injury)
1 - Minor
2 - Minor
3 - Minor
4 - Minor
5 - Threatening
6 - Threatening
Explanation of results:
*Miss => Character dodges the Thread.
*Hit => Character is hit by the Thread.
*Rider => The Thread hits the rider.
*Dragon => The Thread hits the dragon.
*Both => The Thread hits both rider and dragon, but you already figured that out, didn't you?
*Minor => A small, non-threatening injury. (Example: Thread takes off a bit of the rider's earlobe, a bit of the dragon's tail is scored, etc.)
*Threatening => A dangerous wound that threatens the use of a limb. Requires immediate (within the hour) medical attention or the injury will progress to an incapacitating wound.
*Incapacitating => A very dangerous wound that permenantly removes use of a limb. No amount of (Pernese) medical attention will be able to return the use of the body part. If immediate (within half an hour) medical attention is not recieved, the injury will become a mortal wound. (Example: Thread sears through the rider's hand, damaging it so badly that it can never be used again)
*Mortal => Victim will die within the day. No amount of (Pernese) medical attention can stop it.
*Lethal => Kills instantly. Only occurs if a moderator specifies it. (Example: Thread goes through the rider's cranium, destroying the brain and instantly killing the rider)
