So we have a cat, an ancient ocicat named Lolly. She is seventeen, no teeth, and generally rather sweet and cuddly.
Until it comes to our other childer... Namely a mid term pregnancy Tea.
Lolly is minding her own business, sleeping with pleasurable decorum on HER bed, when we loosed Tea, Sugar, and Coffee for some playtime together. Since Tea was about a week and a half pregnant, she'd been kept separate from the other two and we thought it'd be nice for them to have a catchup.
So, keeping an eye on the cat, we let them have a bit of a runaround on the bed. And lo and behold, Lolly spots them, and jumps up with this 'Oh my GOD, there are WHATS on my bed?!' look on her face. She looks at Tea from the head of the bed, and leans forward to have a sniff a bit closer than a full metre away.
And Tea, being hormonal and crazy, charges. She hoons towards Lolly, teeth bared, and nipped the cat on the nose. Lolly flew. She flew under the bed, and there she stayed, for the next two hours.

My kitten Lilly is terrified of my rats. It was about a month after we got the rats, she stuck her paw in the cage and the nipped. She refuses to go near the cage.

My Peewee isn't comfortable with my rats, lol. She gives them this wide-eyed stare like she wants to get them, but she won't go near them. They'll go near her, though, and she'll haul a**. It's too funny.

I have a fat cat and she just LOVES my rats.
Most people would think that a house full cats and rat would be hectic, but Piggy and the girls pretty much grew up together in a way. When my girls were little they hung out around the cat, so she's very tolerant of them, and now they run over her and hide under her fat rolls. X3
Everyone else is freaked out by the rats. Bear will be on the sofa and Peppercat or Kim-Chi will be in the floor and they'll take off. It's rather amusing.

Sad day!!
My cat used to play with my gerbil, and my gerbil would play back through the bars I don't know what would have happened if I let her out o.o I don't know that it would have been good. She doesn't really seem to care about my rats though, and they have no reaction to her.
That totally happened to my dog once!! My dad had been giving my very large male rat Giy olives and I didn't know. So my dog, being a happy-go-lucky dog sticks his big nose in the cage bars. And Giy thinking its a treat totally bit him!! Really hard too ;-; and they he never trusted any of them again. Poor doggy.
Though it also brings me to a funny story: One time when I was holding my female rat Gall I held my dogs nose still to show him he didn't have to fear them 'It's okay, Buddy she won't bite you." Then deciding to contradict me Gall very very slowly opens her mouth I swear it was in slow motion lol >.< and I pulled her away, it was like she did it on purpose because I know she would have grabbed if she thought it was food.
