Don't know if this can go here, I guess you can move it after reading it.

This is mainly just a little rant I wanted to bring up on my view of the Human Body, and I wanted to know what others think of it.

To me the Human Body is beautiful, more than just the Female body, but also the Male body. I'm a Heterosexual Male, but even I can see the beauty in both Genders. I think everything is natural, from passing of wastes (Urination, Defecation, Periods, etc.), Masturbation, etc. I see skin as alive, full of feeling, filled with life, simply beautiful. There are no taboos, nudity is more than just arousing, it's beauty.(This thinking came up after taking photography last year, which I'm taking again this year.) I become amazed when I think about every single cell working in your body, each one doing thousands of different things to make you function, each thing in its own way its very own piece of art that makes up the beauty that is a Human Body. I see the Human Body becoming a canvas for me when I Dom in a scene, every welt, red mark, drop of wax, or whatever I do is my art. It's the art I create with my own two hands when I Dom and I think every mark made to also be simply beautiful.

In many ways I follow your thinking on the human body. I find the nude human body not just a sexual object, but also one of beauty. I think that people are too concerned with the little imperfections in their own body and others. I think we should rather look at the whole picture. Such as, I personally prefer a thiner male or female, but I can acknowledge the beauty in a larger of either sex. I got off the track of your point though a little. The human body is an amazing thing and all body processes are natural and something that can't be avoided, although sometimes not the most glamorous things. Scars or individual marks on the body can make it a more interesting picture to look at, or even beautiful. I don't understand how people can be self conscious about a visible scar (With the exception of it being disfiguring to the face or severely mutilating the body).

Exactly, I wish though people were more accepting. Instead of seeing a naked person and being like, "Oh no, you're naked! That's wrong! Think of the children!" It's nothing that they don't have or know of existing, and if the children don't know about it why hide it? There are no taboos on the human body, naked is not just sexual and if you can only think like that then you're a very ignorant person. Look at the Roman Empire, all the clothing was loose fitting, if a woman’s breast hung out nobody cared, hell the men wrestled naked. You try to do something like that now and you’re automatically a homosexual somehow, like being naked is a sin, which it isn’t. We all came into the world naked, why should we not accept it as being natural then?

*nods in agreement* I don't know if people think they used to have bras back then or something. Almost all Roman sculptures (that were displayed in the cities even) were naked. (Now if there's a nude drawing everyone gasps) They even had public baths, a few of which were even coed. Our culture is very obsessed with being covered. In some European countries it is as acceptable for women to walk around topless as the men. Why? Because it's the human body and we shouldn't be ashamed of it. I noticed just about everything is related to homosexuality now. A man can not hug another man or express feeling with out being labeled gay.

So completely true, it's just pathetic the way society goes on this subject. The more you try to censor the more we become like the other countries we say we will never be. But then you also have to factor in the people who abuse the body, who only use it to lust for it, and can't appreciate the full beauty of it. Also on the subject of showing emotions, I have so many male friends that think the idea of being a man is to hide your emotions and let nothing faze you, I can see where if the situation called for something like that, like if there was a shooting or something and a leader was needed I can see that, but not all the time. I think if you can show your emotions and you're not afraid to hide them at all then you truly are a man for that.

Interesting. As you do at least tie it in with BDSM, I'll leave it in this forum for now, though I'll defer to Chelsea's judgement if she deems it better-placed in the non-BDSM subforum.

I totally agree. As someone who likes to create art I find nothing wrong with being nude. I love pictures of people who are naked. Not because I get off to it but because I find the body simply and amazingly beautiful. I want to hear more people who are able to find the beauty in people's bodies. For me larger or 'fat' bodies are more amazingly beautiful to me when it comes to females. I'm just odd haha. smile
