So I was looking for some info on the HP series and I discovered that the hp-lexicon has been taken down.... crying So for everyone here who needs hp info, here is wikipedia's take: http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Main_PageIt's different, but hopefully will work...so sad for the lexicon....

What?! The Lexicon was tops!
Maybe they got hacked or their server dropped them.
Could be some down time they forgot to give a warning about too.

I honestly hope so, but there were a few glitches starting a few weeks ago. The main page didnt work well and some other pages just disappeared, but now the whole thing is totally offline.

There were some issues a while back between the Lexicon and Rowling. She didn't want the site up because it was, technically, an unauthorized Harry Potter encyclopedia and since she may bring out one of her own, she didn't want an unauthorized one up. I heard that she was sueing Steve, the webmaster, but I never heard the outcome. Perhaps that's why it's offline, but it could just be a server glitch, too.

And here I thought that she was suing the lexicon because they wanted to publish(as in sell for profit) an encyclopedia of all the information from their site.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! The Lexicon is down! crying So not fair! How else am I supposed to plan my lessons? Use my imagination?
Oh right...that's what I was supposed to do in the first place. Err...
I still can't believe it shut down, the Lexicon is my life when I write HP fanfictions. sad It's just...tragic....

@Risika: That could be what it was, but I know there were issues between the Lexicon and Rowling. I haven't heard anything in so long that the details are kind of fuzzy. I can understand her wanting them to take it down, though, especially if she's going to publish an encyclopedia of her own which I thought I heard would be used to benefit some charity, but I could be wrong on that.
