I have both sides of my nose pierced and I had to get the right side done twice. It didn't really fail the first time, it healed up nicely and such. But then one day while brushing my teeth I realized it was slightly uneven which hurt my brain. So I had to get it re-done.

I've also had a daith that I had to remove. Well, I call it a daith for lack of better term, it was higher then the traditional daith, almost far enough to be called a helix. Anyways, I was pretty young and stupid and I didn't take proper care of it. Plus, the shop I went to gave me false healing information. A keloid formed (I had no idea what it was at the time and I totally freaked out) so I took it out. I'd like to get it re-pierced eventually.

This isn't really a failed piercing either. But I have a spiral going through two helix piercings, and one day my ring got caught on it and I jerked my hand away. My bottom hole tore slightly and the metal got all bent out of shape. Now I have "custom" jewelry.

Sadly I've had more failed then successful.

My tongue swelled, so I took out the piercing to let it heal. I had one n****e done, and I took it out after t snagged on my bra as I was changing. x_o No tearing, but it hurt SO much.

I have had a TON of ear ones...

So I just had the worst piercing experience ever that resulted in a failed piercing.
I think I've mentioned before that my family owns a shop. So, we hired a new piercer and I always let them pierce me so I can judge their abilities and report back to my aunt and our head piercer so we can fix their mistakes and get them up to standard.
So, I let this guy pierce my veritcal and horizontal industrials, and stretch my 4g lobes to 2g.
I ended up getting five holes shoved into me only to remove my horizontal one later in the evening because it was so shallow that it ran the risk of being torn out of my ear.
My vertical turned out to be angled which luckily looks intentional.

But jeeze. It was the worst piercing experience ever. The guy kept on making fundamental mistakes that caused me a lot more pain then was necessary. Like, normally I'm silent during piercings except for a sharp out take of breath at the initial piercing. I was making involuntary sounds and my body was quivering. And I've had pleanty of piercings through cartilage before, so I'm pretty tough and accustomed to the pain.

Ugh. He's not allowed to pierce clients, after what happened with me today.

No, I had a navel that was pierced badly, and had to remove. I never redid it, and now if you look closely at my belly tattoo, a fire and water yin yang, you can still see the scar.

More recently, like a couple of days ago, I made a big mistake, I tried to gauge my ears with some clear plastic spikes (I can't remember what they are really made of, but they are used for piercings). I was going from a 10 to an 8 gauge, so it was not a big jump. My left ear just started hurting more and more, it was not just sore, but real pain. So I decided to ditch it and go back to the 10's (I am a big weenie). When I removed the spikes, both ears started bleeding a lot. They are better now that I went back to the stainless rings, I have been doctoring them, like new piercings. I think it was the plastic that didn't agree with me. Anyone else have a problem with it?

They are very similar to those.

I figure I didn't do it right and just rushed it. I am sure I did some damage, not severe, but enough. I'll let these heal and try again. sad

My failed piercings consist of:
Approximately 8 lobe piercings, 1 helix, 1 smiley, and 1 eyebrow.
I'm TERRIBLE at healing ear piercings. I don't know why. :S
My first smiley had to be taken out, because the jewellery I had in was WAY too large and causing problems. And I had my eyebrow for over a year, and it suddenly started rejecting. I had no choice but to retire it.
