OK....So I was thinking about buying a wii sooner or later and I was wondering is it worth it? In the long run I mean? I already owna xbox360 and A gamecube (I just recently bought it and I <3 it XD) But lately I've been thinking about purchasing a wii: It would get me up and active, I hear it's alot of fun, and some really fun games to play.

The reason when it first came out that I wanted a wii was so I could play Fatal Frame 4 and Resident Evil...and maybe even Zelda...but mostly fatal frame XD. But now I got to actually play some of it (Just wii sports) And lately my xbox360 has been dieing out (It's our second time sending it away cause ity won't read media or play unscratched games -_-) But I wanted to get your guys opinion before I go out and spend about $300 to buy one..I just don't want a nother system to mess with me like my xbox has been...

So any comments?

I'd say PC is and always will be superior to any console any day of the week, but the Wii has a special place in my heart. A place of hate and dislike for its gimmicky controls in most of its games using the motion stick of a controller. I guess its fine for more of a casual gamer, but to anyone really into or getting into the hardcore set of the gaming sphere needs something thats more reliable and less of a gimmick. I mean come on the Wii didn't even get the orange box what kind of bollocks is that now. Even though I doubt it would have fared well in the translation.

Anyway, as you have a PC, and an Xbox 360 to cover your more core gaming needs I guess a Wii (to some people not including me) could be a fine addition.

......Disclaimer......
This could and is very bias not objective in any fashion. As I have an unrelenting dislike of the Wii and have hated long before it even came out.

Also.....Poll Answer: PC best system by far.

Depends on what kind of games you want. I currently have one. I got Brawl, Mario Kart, and No Mores Heroes.

There's actually going to be a lot of intriguing games coming up soon. o.o I'd keep an eye out for the Dawn of the New World, Wario Land, and such.

I've got a wii too, and it's really fun. True, the games are a bit more kid based, but given: its Nintendo. And the Single player games really aren't that immersive. Fun, but not the same quality of story and such that you'd get with a more adult based system. But this leads to it being one of the best party systems, i feel. all the games are really intuitive so it won't make someone feel left out in games like halo.

And I think its just great how the game that COMES with the wii, is considered one the best wii games of all time.

So yeah, I'd say get it. for $250, Wouldn't hurt at all. ^_^

Well, Resident Evil 4 on the Wii is incredibly fun, especially the Mercenaries mode, which I frickin tear up.

The system is great but really offers a contrasting experience from the 360. Its just not the same. Lots of fun though. I would recommend the purchase.

I would probably suggest the purchase of a Wii but only under certain conditions. Sit down and look at the current library of Wii games. Are there five that you want? Are there three upcoming games that you have an interest in? If yes purchase one if you can only find 2 or 3 games that you are interested in I would suggest against it.
