I was lifting the other day with larger weights than I normally use. And I noticed something the next day. MY WRIST AND THUMB HURT LIKE THE DICKENS. This led me to try wearing my Mexican style hand wraps. They work beautifully and add cushion to those often uncomfortable metal bars. All in all, wrap your hands. It will spare you the pain.
Tip: Since your only lifting with the wraps, no fighting, try wrapping around the wrist and thump a few more times and the knuckles less times.

naw, its a good thing, its encouragement. also, don't ever lift over your throat, always over the chest, which works the muscles properly.

he dropped 200lbs? that sounds like it hurts! yeah, my hands haven't hurt much after weight lifting. maybe your squeezing to hard to hold on, or your not squeezing enough, and the bar is spinning in your hand.

I'm just being lazy getting ready for JROTC, so I keep a 5 lb at my desk and lift whenever I get bored. I might wrap my hands for bench presses. Those hurt! And I can barely lift the bar as it is.
Dx I gotta toughen up.
