why does Hanyuu use boku instead of watashi? I noticed this during certain parts in the anime she refers to herself using boku.

I am not sure.

"Boku" is normally used by males, but females have started using it. Maybe it is just to make her different?

Well, there's a term for females who uses them now a these days. So it's not that unusual to see both genders using "boku"... It's considered somewhat of a moe-point if you wanna consider that too... so maybe Ryukishi07 wanted to put those kind of characters in series?

my theory is she's a god and technically androgynous...? or something...?
I don't know, hanyuu doesn't seem the type to use boku though the moe aspect is possible
