Rules
1. All Gaia rules apply here. Sorry! Can't change that!
2. This is a place for literate and serious roleplay. That means no * * for actions and use quotation marks ((" ")) for speech and use proper grammer and punctuation, no net-speak, chat-talk or the like in the roleplay threads! It keeps things neater and easier to keep up with.
a. Please try to keep some semblance of turn-based RP. This does not mean that you have to wait for others to post that you aren't even interacting with at the moment, but it does mean that when you are interacting with someone, you need to wait for their response. To do so comes too close to God-moding at times.
3. Keep all romance at a PG-13 level. I'm a sucker for romance, and it does keep things interesting... but there's a line between interesting and scaring the children o.o Anything serious belongs in PMs or other means of private conversation. Not here!
4. No flaming! I won't tolerate it! Doing so is grounds for immediate banning, no questions asked, no second chances. This RP is shounen/shoujo-ai friendly. Got it? Okay, moving on!
a) If you feel such behavior is pertinent to your character, you will have to PM me in order to discuss what it is that you intend to do, have your character behave, etc. Be prepared to be told no, and that even if I do agree, I will apply some sort of 'stamp' or something to your profile to let people know what to expect, and that I have allowed your character's behavior - but I will be watching very closely!
5. PM profiles to those in charge of the RP. In any of the RPs, I would prefer if the profiles were PMed to whoever is in charge. It keeps things cleaner in the RP. So as a note to my crew and members, make sure you make note of this!
6. All ideas for creating a new RP thread must be passed by me - the Captain - before you start the thread. I promise that I'm usually nice about that sort of thing though! Just PM me about it before you go through the trouble of putting it up... because if I didn't approve it, I'll tear it down and all your work will be lost o.o Thank you! ^-^
7. Cussing is allowed, but keep it within reason. I have a personal list of words that I will not tolerate and will ban anyone for using. As before no second chances... your characters should not even utter these.
a) The infamous 'f-word' in any of its forms.
b) The 'n-word'... you know the one, it rhymes with that bouncy character from Winnie the Pooh.
c) The 'c-word' that rhymes with punt.
d) Any and all crude words for gays.
1) This still applies to characters that have been allowed certain behavior as per rule 4. The language will not be allowed. Period.
This list will possibly grow in the future... make sure to check back every so often to make sure you don't get yourself into a situation you can't get out of... though I highly doubt and trust that anyone that becomes a part of this guild would say any of these words!
8. Respect the Captain, Crew, and Members of this Guild. I shouldn't have to spell this out for you.
9. Don't continuously quote! I will delete any posts that have more than two quote boxes in them!
10. If you notice a rule being broken, follow these directions!
a) Quote the offending post as soon as you notice, no being all nice and telling them first. It's my job to decide whether second chances should be given!
b) PM one of the crew or me with the quoted post, explaining in which thread you found it.
c) Whoever you send it to will either look into it or forward the post to me.
d) If it is found to really be a rule broken, crew members are to alert me and the member who broke the rule.
e) If it was a no second chances rule, you know the consequences. I will keep track of the broken rules as well.
11. If you RP a source character totally out of the realm of their usual behavior, you will lose the position. Source character meaning the characters from the show, game, etc that we are basing the RP off of. I am ultimately the final and absolute say in this, as it is my vision that made this guild. But I generally don't like being mean and definitely don't claim to know everything about every single character, so I will more than likely ask for the advice of others.
a) Try to RP the character as accurately as you can, of course. If you have a certain interpretation of a character that you play, PM me first about this with an explanation as to why you feel this is an accurate portrayal of this character.
b) If you feel that a part has been wrongly taken from you, feel free to state this to me. It would help your case for others to write to me as well and explain why they think it was wrong for you to have the part taken away. Not saying that this will always get you the part back.
c) If you continuously pester me about the part, I won't be nice anymore, and you will risk being removed from the guild - permanently.
12. The OOC Chatter and OOC RP threads are a privilege not a right. I know this seems a weird thing to be saying in a guild of people who paid to get in, but this IS an RP guild. It has been painfully obvious to me that OOC chatter and RP gets far more attention than the actual RPs. But if it's obvious that they're the only things getting attention, they will be removed. There are other places for you to chat and have OOC fun.
13. Edit posts sparingly. The only real reasons to edit your posts are spelling and grammar errors, and if there was a big enough mistake in your post that it requires it. You can NOT edit your post just because you suddenly decide you meant to post something different or you don't like the response that was given. If you want a certain series of events to happen with another character, contact them and talk it over.
When it comes to the rules, you only get two warnings before you're banned - with the exception of course of rules 4 and 8.
Please simply put *RIP Kanbe Miyuki* in a post here to ensure that you've read the rules. I'll count it like signing your name on a contract - yes, even though it will change. Signing means that you also promise to check up on these rules every so often to see if they've changed.
