Who's seen it? If you've seen it what did you think of it? Have you even heard of it?

For those of you that may not know.. Dr Horrible's Singalong Blog is a 40 minute musical created by Joss Whedon during the writers strike to prove that he didn't need them to create good content. Currently it's only online but it's had such a good response that they are going to release the DVD and soundtrack (not sure when, sorry.)

It's a comedy/sci-fi/musical in the form of a vlog (sorta) following Dr Horrible (Neil Patrick Harris) who is a lovestruck wanna-be villain and his struggles trying to get the girl while also trying to get accepted as a proper villain by Bad Horse. Of course his arch nemesis Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion) is always getting in his way. It's really good how they reverse the rolls making you want to cheer on the villain, and of course it's full of Whedon one-liners.

I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait for it to come out on DVD.. maybe we'll even get a sequel!

((Sidenote: Sorry I'm never here.. I don't go on Gaia too often anymore. I've been pretty busy. =/ ))

There was an article in the paper I read about it not long ago, when I saw in the subtitles Joss Whedon's name I was --> eek
I was going to watch it but I haven't yet. Maybe I should look it up now.

'We're sorry - currently our video library can only be played in the United States.'

NO! crying crying
Why did the paper I read publish an article on it if this was so, that is so cruel. It's like when I want to watch trailers on MTV.

Eeh. Sorry! Tough break. Were you trying to stream from Hulu.com? I'd heard that the geo-lock had been fixed, but I could be wrong. I've also heard, but would never mention, that it's hit the torrent sites.

Yeah I was trying to stream from Hulu.
I'd rather not use a torrent site, they can track you these days and block your internet :S.

that was SO hilarious! i'm not sure how i felt about the end, but it was still a great show.
i love songs that have good lyrics. i generally don't like songs unless they have good lyrics and joss never fails at coming up with hilarious ones.

"I want to be an achiever....like Bad Horse."
"The Thoroughbred or Sin!?"
"..........I meant Ghandi"

Yeah I love this. I was watching it the other day on youtube.

Joss and me are a lot alike I swear. We have like the same basic personality you should see him in real life. He's just a bit more outgoing than me.

I guess I'm just a slow child at play, I had been meaning to check it out for months, but I only watched it about 1 month ago. My husband and our roommate and I randomly burst into the songs on pretty much a daily basis. "My Eyes" is a personal fave, the two-people-singing-the-same-song-in-different-places-but-at-the-same-time has always made me squee with happiness.

I like how Whedon made Dr. Horrible sympathetic, but also offered him plenty of chances to choose love over villainy, which he allowed to pass him by. Yay for humorous musical entertainment with explorations of morality... mrgreen
