I actually cannot grasp the concept of why this book series has such a large fanbase. In my opinion, it's poorly written, the main characters are mary sues, and the author has completely destroyed the whole ideology of vampires. They're not supposed to go out in the day, damnit! >.< I actually purchased Twilight to see what all the fuss was about, and I really wish I hadn't. Instead, I should have borrowed it from someone, or loaned a copy from the library. No, I spent my money on it. £7 down the 'dull book' drain.
The worst thing? This hype is only going to increase when the film comes out. -dies-

I liked it better when people didn't go crazy over it. I like the series, but it seemed better when people weren't always talking about it and stuff. The hype is way too much for it.

TWILIGHT NEEDS TO BE DED NAO!! scream Its a bad/stupid series that takes away the sales of BETTER BOOKS. Just about everyone I know has to succumb to whatever drug the books are laced with: My old 40ish(?) year old MALE English teacher, My ancient, never aging spanish teacher, ALL of ducks friends, my best friends sister and MOM, my other friend who KNOWS the difference between a good book and a bad one. Truthfully, Ive never read the book, and i never plan on it, for fear of me becomming a Twilight zombie-fangirl. Duck had the best description for the word, "nothing but fangirl fodder". Now relavant pictures: And my last word and a shameless plugin (again): If you wanna read a good book/book series, read Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series. It has just about everything under the sun a book series cold have. (excluding shiny day vampires, but it does have the evil, human killing kind.) He considereds it his lifes work, so you know it must be good.

Meh... I feel like any female teenager just has orgasms over it all day, which is why I just refuse to read it. They're always like, "OMG! Read this book!" And I want to just slap them and give them The Bartimaeus Trilogy. God. Romance+Vampires=overrated.

When I was volunteering a the library, this girl I worked with woudn't shut up about it. She was seriously obsessed, and it was totally annoying, and now I sorta fidget every time I hear anything about it. And the sad thing is, if it weren't for that, I'd probably read it and love it, but...yeah. sweatdrop organization_member_XIII Now relavant pictures: And my last word and a shameless plugin (again): If you wanna read a good book/book series, read Stephen King's "The Dark Tower" series. [♪♪ I think I'm drowning, asphyxiated. I wanna break this spell that you've created. I love Twilight. Not as much as I used to, but still. I really like it. It's my guilty pleasure for sure.
I didn't think Bella was totally 100% Mary Sue-ish until Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. ESPECIALLY Breaking Dawn. It was a huge let-down for me and I was totally hyped for Bella to turn into a vampire and what it would be like for her to struggle being a newborn.
BUT THEN SHE HAD NO PROBLEM WITH IT.
That pissed me off.
And Bella often has her cake and eats it, too, which also annoys me.
But Twilight and New Moon mean a lot to me. I do make fun of Twilight at times because sometimes it's just so easy, but I loved the theme on love. I'm normally not a big fan of romance books--most notably teenage romance books--but this was a book I could really connect to. And New Moon was written with such raw emotional power that it had me sobbing on the couch while reading it.
I'm not a big fan of the later part of the series. Breaking Dawn really strayed away from the main theme of love. And there were mistakes and plot holes and unexplained things.
*sigh* But still. I can't tear myself away from the earlier part of the series.
I mostly like the Cullens. Carlisle and Esme are so much like loving parents they make me squee. I pretty much hate Rosalie, Emmett makes me laugh, I don't like or dislike Jasper (but I got mad that they suddenly gave him the nickname "Jazz" and Meyer claimed that she had been calling him that the whole time when she hadn't! xp ), but Alice makes me laugh. Really, really, really hard. She's just badass. She has so many great comments. You're something beautiful, a contradiction. I wanna play the game; I want the friction. ♪♪]

Sucks to be you, Cam. xd I'll get to that series eventually. I have my abundance of Orwell, Marx, and Shakespeare books to get through. So many amazing books to read...not enough time...Plus my teacher is letting me borrow her copy of Brave New World.
So what if I like Twilight? xp After I read Breaking Dawn, I liked it less. Oh god, that book ruined the series. crying It wasn't the most well-written thing ever and yeah, it was hopping on the bandwagon of teenage romance vampire novels these days, which just generally suck, but for some reason I just loved the first two books. I can't explain why. They just really stuck with me. You're something beautiful, a contradiction. I wanna play the game; I want the friction. ♪♪]

im glad i went when there was no super crazy fans~~!!
the movie made me laugh alot hehe

oh yeah like Pain said about not them being like vampires... THEY DIDNT EVEN HAVE VAMPIRE TEETH... and it made me laugh when she saw him in the daylight, i was expecting him to look all vampirish and like a monster... but all he does is shine like crystals...
anyways what made me laugh was when she was like "its beautifull"
