Some more J-pop/rock that is not utter gash? I find it difficult to sift through the nonsense and get to decent bands. Bear in mind that I am picky.

First problem is your scraping the bottom of the barrel with J-pop.
Second problem is what kind of rock are we talking about?

I enjoy other the music of other countries, so help me God. And basically anything, but I will be picky about individual bands.

As Blood Runs Black - American
Lordi - Finnlandia
Stratovarius - Finnlandia
Sonata Arctica - (Unknown)
Dredg - American
Illnath. - Dansih.

Check those ones out if you haven't already heard of them or listen to them already. Their all pretty large bands

Sonata Arctica are Finnish.

And most of those bands are pretty average or below that, actually. I mean Dredg are the only band there that I can really raise even a little interest for, and that's destroyed by the awful whiny vocals. neutral I was thinking something more experimental, really, not alt rock or power metal.

@vesta_vesves_star: I've never heard any An Cafe, so I'll check them out.

Remember the time when I asked "What kind of rock music are we talking here?" and you said " basically anything?" you could have thrown in except metal. That way I would have known we live in parallel universes when it comes to rock music. I guess I should have guessed with the J-pop thing though.

I do like metal, actually, just not sub-standard metal neutral Khanate, Emperor, Deathspell Omega, Blut Aus Nord... Metal has much more to offer than Stratovarius. So I don't mind metal recs, just not nonsense. Liking J-pop is not a ticket to ignorance. neutral

I don't even really consider Stratovarius to be a metal band personally, I would never call them metal although some people definitely seem to like too. I haven't heard of any of those bands before but it sounds like death - Viking metal. I might have to check a few of those out. I'm not much of a rock person myself to be honest. If it doesn't have synth chances of me listening to it is very slim too none. Your not ignorant at all for liking J-pop I'm just about as picky as you are just with my music selection as a whole really.

Khanate is doom, but verges into performance art territory on certain recordings.
The rest are Black Metal, Emperor using a lot of synth, so I'd check them out if I were you. 3nodding

I'll hop on that probably tomorrow. I'm going to move my laptop into my room so I can work out to some music for a while and then lay about and do... Nothing... Yeah that sounds about accurate lol. Would play my guitar but I broke a string today >< the strings on it are absolutely terrible so I just need to break down and replace them finally.
