This writing exercise is designed to... well, describe things. Hopefully, if people actually look at and reply to this, you will also be able to see the other writing styles people have and maybe be able to pick up some pointers.

Describe the avatar of the person above you in as much detail as you can. Feel free to use first, second, or third person, and experiment with any voice you want to.

This isn't exactly meant to have people criticize one another, but if there's something large the person overlooked or if something is worded very strangely, feel free to point that out.

I'm first, soo... yeah.

hmmm... is this a descriptive thing only, like "red headband, blue jeans, etc" or a narrative type thing, like "I walked into the room to see this blond girl staring out into space."
Oh, and one potential pitfall is that people change their avatars constantly (or at least I do) so the description of the person above you is only accurate for a short amount of time.

There's a way around that. Simply post a picture of how the avatar looks when you rate it.

User ImageThat's true. Alright, I'm going to cheat a little bit because I already wrote out a response for Sumurika's avatar before Caerthakatha posted, and I really kinda like it. *eh-hem*

I shot a furtive glance around the room as I walked in. Unlike rooms in the Chatterbox, this Forum seemed almost empty, full of ghosts that just stood frozen in place, as if waiting for some unknown cue to start moving again. This room in particular housed only one such phantasm - a redhead to be exact. She seemed to have been frozen for a long time, so I didn't feel too bad about giving her the once over. She didn't come off as plain, but definitely not as over-the-top as some other people I've seen. Blue pajamas with snowflake print clung to her pale frame, and her brown eyes stared fixedly into space. She wore a cow print stocking cap over her loose red locks, which dangled down to her waist. In her right hand she held an old elephant doll, which looked like it had once belonged to a series of orphans. Simple black kitty slippers adorned her feet, completing the "just out of bed" look.

damn... I didn't get the image code right. But my description was pretty accurate, if I do say so myself. She was wearing blue pajamas and black kitty slippers and had red hair and brown eyes.

although apparently that's not too big of a problem, because its been years since I posted that description. I guess this place really is a ghost town.
