(( This is a private RP between Eios and Mogwai ))  Dawn was steadily approaching, just over the horizon.
Already, Eios could feel the lethargy creeping into him, dulling his senses, bidding his eyes to sleep and rest, instincts of the nocturnal creature he was.
But he was not safe quite yet. This was still enemy territory, and the last thing he wanted was for someone to show up. At this time of the day, when his senses well the most dull, as proud as he was, he knew it would be a tough fight for him to win should he encounter any obstacles.
And these definitely were not safe waters for a reason. Only the damned survived, the weak became nothing but white bones and thick red mud.
He stumbled, again, and his ears twitched; hoping that noone noticed. Just beyond the hills was more of a 'safe haven', a dark grove of trees so dark and twisted it was hard to tell shadow from branch within. There he planned to rest, just a bit further.
In fact, Eios was so preoccupied with getting to the destination, he forgot to attune his senses to the ever-unforgiving landscape. His hoof landed into a thick current of mud; it fell in with a satisfied squelch. The nocturnal skinwalker attempted to kick it out, snorting angrily, wings and tail lashing out. As if he wasn't in a bad enough mood already.

 A sigh escaped the female's parted lips; the sun would soon come out, and thus, it meant the need to find some place safe enough to rest till night were to come again. For many skinwalkers or kalonas, the hatred of sunlight was merely a question of taste; for Mogwai though, there was further more primordial reason to hate the sun... for it hurt her terribly. Her skin, her eyes; they could not withstand the heat of the sunlight for long, and while she was fine during the night, the daylight hours were a horribly risky time for her.
The grove of the trees she called her move was dark enough the sunlight was unable to reach past the mangled, twisted branched; she'd long since claimed the territory as hers, and had kept it safe, for after all... her life depended on it, in a way. In more than one, really.
She had been more than happily prepared to tuck herself away into a cave when the breeze brought forth the scent of a male nearby. Nostrils flaring, the albino female took one last, long, cold look at her cave, and then turned away, setting off into a trot towards the origin of the scent; even if daylight was soon approaching... she could not leave her territory unprotected. Not now, not ever; it had cost her too much to find it... to much effort and energy to keep her adobe safe. Mogwai, wasn't however, prepared for the sight that greeted her as her head peeked just minimally out from some bushes. She hadn't, by any means, thought she was the only bat skinwalker, however, the sight of him was at least enough to allow the usual almost unemotional female to c**k her head to one side, "And just what, might I ask, are you doing?" the voice was soft, almost darkly melodic in a way as she stared at him, her body hidden in the shadows cast by the trees. Her eyes had narrowed, her ears hidden back; her frame was tense, though she seemed hesitant to attack or take a step forward; daylight was as much a motive, as was the fact he was a Skinwalker. Any other type of Soquili, and she would have lashed out without much wait, however... a skinwalker was an opponent for her to take seriously and reconsider. Perhaps she could avoid a fight; it was in her best interest right now to do so.
