Sig candy up for grabs!
There's no RP effort required for this gorgeous male. You may roleplay him later if you want to, but feel free to use him as sig candy if that's your thing! User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

The rules are simple. Cook a delicious dessert and post the recipe and a picture of your creation in this thread no later than 4 PM GMT tomorrow (September 1st). A team of highly trained Warals will then evaluate your efforts and decide on a winner. (The time may be extended if there are not enough entries.)

If you have no means to cook you may create a dessert in some other creative way... It still needs to look delicious however.

Freebie rules:
- If you win this Sentinel he's completely free of charge.
- Basic customization is available at flatsale pricing (up to 25K)
- If you own more than two Sentinels you can't win, sorry. We want to give newbies a chance.
- If you'd like to cook and have more than two Sentinels you will have to gift the Sentinel to a newbie if you should win.
- Please include a note with your Gaia nickname and the phrase "Noctua sig candy contest" in the picture.

The contest have been extended until we get a few more entries.

Yes yes yes I KNOW I:
1. Can't win cause I have 2+ sentinels
2. Can't win cause I forgot to have the phrase/note in the pic
3. Can't win cause of some third reason I just forgot
BUT! This recipe is good. So yeah. Posting regardless.

PEAR CRUMBLE PIE
Ingredients:

* 1/3 cup sugar
* 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
* 6 cups sliced peeled fresh pears
* 1 unbaked pastry shell (9 inches)
* CRUMBLE TOPPING:
* 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
* 3 tablespoons brown sugar
* 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 2 tablespoons cold butter

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine sugar and flour; add the pears and toss gently to coat. Spoon into pastry shell. In a small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over pie.
Bake at 400° for 45-50 minutes or until pears are tender and topping is golden brown. Cover edges loosely with foil during the last 30 minutes to prevent overbrowning.

BAKED ALASKA:
Ingredients:
1 Fudge Brownie Layer (Cake Mix) - Cut into Disks
1 Scoop of Chocolate Marble Ice Cream
MERINGUE:
3 Egg Whites
1/2 Teaspoon of Cream of Tartar
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
6 Tablespoons of Sugar

DIRECTIONS:
For the base layer of cake, I just used a cake mix *lazy*, so just follow the box's instructions. Once the cake has completely cooled, take a cup or cookie cutter to divide it into circles. Put them aside for now.

For the meringue, I was lucky enough to have a mixer. I pity those without one. Start the mixer (gradually speeding up as you go along) with your three egg whites in the bowl, promptly adding the cream of tartar and vanilla. Slowly pour the sugar in, being careful to let the goop go smooth before adding more. Once everything is in, crank up the speed to about medium-fast and sit back for a few minutes. Once the goop has turned white and fluffy (and is able to hold a shape), you're done.

After that, scoop your choice of ice cream onto the cake, then apply your meringue (the more artistically, the better). At that point, you have one of two choices. You can either pour a little rum over top and light it on fire for a few seconds, or just get a torch and gently brown the meringue.

Then eat it.

Fruit-filled oatmeal bars

Prep time:
20 minutes | Bake: 30 minutes | Oven: 350 | Makes: 25 bars (approximation)
User Image
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 c. quick-cooking oats
    2/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. butter (one stick)
    1 recipe fruit filling (can buy these as pie fillings at your grocery store)

In medium bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and baking soda. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Reserve 1/2 cup of the crumb mixture.

Press remaining mixture into an ungreased 9x9x2 in or 11x7x1 1/2 in baking pan. Spread desired filling over top. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake in a 350 degree over for 30 to 35 minutes or until top is golden.

If you want to flavor it up, make it into that perfect late night snack, you can add a bit of fudge sauce to it to satisfy that craving.

If you don't have it on hand, here's a recipe you can use to make it from scratch.
    3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter
    2/3 c. sugar
    1 5oz. can of evaporated milk (2/3 cup)

Melt the butter and chocolate in a small saucepan. Add sugar and then stir in milk. Bring to a boil and then reduce to low heat. Boil on low heat for 8 minutes stirring frequently. Cool slightly. Serve.

*note: with the right amount of fruit at home, you can make your own filling as well. For recipes on that, check the internet. Although I have a recipe for that as well xD;
