NPCs
NPCs are Non-Playable-Characters. These things were real buggers in the past, so let’s just set a few ground rules in their usage.
For those of you unfamiliar, NPCs are the characters you’ve created that influence your main character’s life. Perhaps it is a mother, brother, nephew, friend, etc. The staff and teachers are NPCs created open to everyone. Naturally, their made to be mentioned in passing. I myself commonly used NPCs to better my character’s story last time.
This and many other events raised questions as to what proper NPC usage rights are. With different sides and contributions, the crew decide on this:
-An NPC may be given value towards a player’s storyline, so long as it is a personal storyline. When there are players together, NPCs should not be present. However, during those periods when a character is not interacting with others (these times should be those that transition into upcoming events, as the focus of a role-play is interaction with others), NPCs are more than welcome to become important figures in the story for their respective characters.
-ANY NPC created by a person who is not yourself is off limits to you. Please get permission from the creator to use somebody else's NPC. Or just be sensible about it.
-Again, an NPC cannot be part of any storylines except those directly relating to the character whose story they belong to. This means they cannot tag along and effect guild events in any way, including granting information that your main character would not normally have access to.
