I thought it would be rude not to post an introduction myself.

My name is Lee, but Viscerim is alright too. The name came from a combination of many characters' names that I liked, not intentially resembling Viscera-internal organs.

I have been through many religions. I began as a Catholic, I then branched off on my own into Druidism, then general Paganism. For a while there I lost all faith altogether and was atheist. Then I discovered LaVey Satanism, which mirrored my every thought at the time. But after living a life for no-one but myself, I felt unfulfilled. I researched into the Abby of Thelema, but only on the very surface. I found it difficult because I could not identify my will. It seemed that I had no will aside from temporary. After leaving this direction of thought, I got into the necronomicon for a while. I must admit, I became lazy with the initiations and I modified the seals so they would work, but I believe that resulted in some of my more frightening experiences. I picked up the Tao-Te-Ching and became obsessed with it. At the same time, I was reading about some buddhism views and tried expanding what I was understanding from the Tao-Te-Ching. That book left me with an absence of passion that made me sad, so I just drifted for a long time. I've been trying to piece together what I think, and lately with much success, and Paganism is drawing me back, but ultimately, my path is my own creation.

I like listening to bands like, Marilyn Manson, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Slipknot, Eve 6, Panic at the Disco... some ambient stuff, just a big crazy mix of music! I like playing a lot of video games too, especially Final Fantasy, but I feel that the company has let me down after FF7 - yeeeep, I'm one of those people.

Why did I start this guild? I started this guild because I'm looking for more viewpoints, for different areas of practice and experiences to reflect on. I've been confined to solitary practices my whole life, and I'm finally deciding I'm going to do something about it. I am reaching out to all of you for the community I have never had, and like most of you, I fear that I will die before my knowledge can be shared for the good of others.

I strongly believe in "All are student, All are teachers." I am very fond of energy transfer practices, invoking, evoking (I haven't done as much in this area). I have strong knowledge of casting formula and modification, psychic theory, magick theory, invocation. I would like stronger knowledge in spiritual progression, getting closer to the deities, healing, protecting, evocation and banishing. I am slowing figuring out how to do a lot of these things, but help is never a bad thing.

Well, I hope you all enjoy your stay here at the SCS Guild, and I hope to hear from you all very soon.

well hello everyone. :p

uh, well, i am catholic, but im too laid back to care if you aren't.
i live in a very hostile house, with many things that are unexplained. I have a friend who is totally into the occult. he practiced.. satanic things, very dark stuff, and not what i hear when i go into other chats to discuss it.

so a lot of weird things happen to him, plus he has a "third eye" so he usually tells me the spirts/ghosts that are in my home.

just here to get some insite and advice on matters that surrond this guy i know. :p

Heh, is SCS affiliated with Circle Sanctuary? xd

Hi all, I'm San-chan, I live in New Zealand, I've been a practising witch and a Pagan for eight years. As a witch I use low magic and I don't have too much truck with that ceremonial crap. I also prefer to keep things more grounded than esoteric. (Just call me Weatherwax. wink )

I'm a goth; I enjoy goth rock and gothic literature. I love to read. I also write when I can.

Hey everyone! So glad to have a guild!!!

I'm Mistreena. I love the colour green. Obviously. biggrin
I'm interested in magick, the occult and paranormal...even if most of what I know I read in books and watched on TV.
I love discussions about religion and beliefs, so long as I'm talking with open-minded people who don't tell me what to believe and what not to believe (I really dislike those kinda people).

Well, I love to read. I like languages. I love watching anime and listening to anime theme songs. My favourite season is spring, and I love the earth (prolly explains my love of the colour green.) I also like stones and crystals. My favourite stones are turquoise and malachite.

What else? I'm looking forward to being in this guild with everyone! I'll try to get on here as much as possible with my university workload wink

My name is Naia/Lynn/Elky (don't ask how those names are related, because they aren't xD).

I myself am, at the moment, an aspiring Wiccan. I started out as Jewish, but that didn't work out too well for me.

I like reading, writing, and drawing. At the moment I'm writing two novels, and I've already finished writing a screenplay. I hope to one day get a book I've written published.

I joined this guild, because it seems like a nice place to be, and I want more students, as well as more teachers.

I also believe in "All are students, all are teachers." I mostly work with divination. At the moment I can only do tarot, but I'm learning about oracle, runes, and crystalights. I will also soon be learning how to do a crystal ball reading.

Which Runes are you learning, Lynn?

Ah the Guild is now a reality.

I am Jen or MercyWild. I have been a witch and pagan type for about ten years now. I like to keep my magic simple and close to nature for the most part.
I am a stay at home mom, an army wife, a writer, and I am considering going back to college for another degree. (though I am trying to figure out just what I really want to persue)
I work with tarot, I have an fair knowledge of astrology. I love herbs, and stones. I have a decent understanding and knowledge of basic energy work.
Mixing up herbal tea blends is a hobby of mine, I also love to read,
(especially if it isn't written in rhyme with talking animals. My daughter is 3, if you want all the words to Goodnight Moon, I know it from memory.)
I am in the process of trying to learn Gaelic, I am writing a set of fairy poems inspired by my kiddo. I love photography, nothing more fun than a digital camera and a day out hiking..
Looking forward to hearing more from everyone, and being able to learn from you all.

Gaelic is awesome. I'd love to hear the poems someday! I'm sure they'll be beautiful.
I tried learning Gaelic via free websites, and all I learned was "
ta me fuer" and "Ta me te" - " I am cold" and "I am hot" but it was interesting, nonetheless. I'd love to learn it if I ever get the chance. I'm just taking a beginner Latin course at the moment.
And I also love photography. A few of the banner designs I made for this guild are pictures I took with my digital camera.

Howdy, everyone. I probably should've posted earlier, but I'm having a lot of hassle with internet service providers and whatnot, so it'll be a while before I contribute properly. When I do get internet permanently, you can bet I'll scribble up an assignment or two, 'cause they seem pretty neat.

My name's Mitsh (or Mitch, if you like), I live in Scotland, and I've been into the occult for pretty much my whole life (I'm twenty just now). I practice postmodern magick and urban magick, which probably sounds a lot more impressive than it is. My magick leans towards symbolic and semantic connections, and I'm pretty much obsessed with it, for good or for ill. At a push, if people really want labels, I guess I'd class myself as a Chaos Magickian.

I'm currently in university studying Computing Science, and I'm in the process of moving into my new apartment. Other than that, there's not much left to say. Hopefully I'll get around to checking this place out in more detail and talking to you guys some more soon.

Hey Mitsh! Nice to see you here! I'm sorry to hear about your internet, hope that can be resolved soon! I'd love to hear more about the types of magick you do, and see a couple of assignments up there too.

I'm especially interested to know what you mean by semantic connections, since I've learned that ...okay no I always forget what semantic means no matter what course I take that includes it as an important word. Doesn't it have to do with sentence structure? Something similar? Not only have I heard it in grade 12 English classes, but I know I heard it last year when I took Linguistics (my first year of uni taking a second-year course - not the brightest idea I ever had, but I'll be taking the first-year intro course in the winter term biggrin )

Mitsh

I was looking into Chaos Magick a few years back, and I liked a lot of what I read. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it more like a format? Like a system designed to contain other systems? Anywho... I think you and me are gonna have a lot of theoretical similarities, being that you mention symbolic and semantic connections.

Chaos Magic.... Fnord? We're talking Discordianism here?

Now please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think chaos magick, as an independant concept, is a perspective rather than a method.

While I do see that Discordianism influences some chaos magicians, I'm not aware of it having roots in it.

Your definition of semantics is entirely correct, but that's within the scope of linguistics - mine has a more general scope, dealing with manipulating and understanding meaning. It's a little hard to explain, but when I get a permanent internet connection I'll try and define it a little better. XD

Correctamundo, it's a metasystem, so you can use Chaos Magick to craft your own systems - however, recently it's become a lot more dogmatic, given that wherever you read about Chaos Magick, you'll probably come across things like Ouranian-Barbaric, the Mass of Chaos, and similar stuff. I'm really just into it for the pragmatism.

FNORDFNORDNot exactly; I'm not Discordian (well, I am, because Discordianism says everyone is a priest, or something similar), but since the two are /very/ closely linked, there's bound to be a whole lot of overlap. Chaos Magick is to Discordianism as Theism is to Christianity.
